Basically, it's very difficult. You can give it a try if you like, but don't count on anything germinating. They require very specific sites with micorrhizae present in order to establish themseves. That is why they produce 10000-20000 seeds at once. Maybe if you collect them in the fall and sow them the area will be an aceptable one. i would think though if seeds were going to establish there, they would have by now.

Send the seeds to Ross and he'll send you back seedlings if he germinates them successfully. Bet he'll be here soon. Ross...?

Still it will take four or five yrs before they flower.

Why don't you want to transplant/divide, and what variety are they?
