I appreciate the commiseration. I have made progress against multiflora rose and some invasive vines but garlic mustard is getting ahead of me. I did not get to all of the garlic mustard in time this year and a lot of it has already dropped its seeds. I had to deal with a lot of runoff, erosion and other issues that followed some intense storms which took time away from plucking GM. I suspect I will have lots more of it next spring and the following year.

good to hear you made some progress on the rose. The GM has died off pretty much here getting rested up for its next years attack.
The stilt grass has won this year because we havent had time to work on it. 11 acres is a lot of pulling. Anyway I didnt want you to think you were alone in the battle. LOL

Wow, that's a discouraging sight! I have some here and it has popped up in a few new places this year. Your picture makes me want to rev up the weed whacker! Keep that stuff from going to seed, at least. But 11 acres .... sigh.

We were doing pretty good but since were building a house we havent had much time to get rid of it. I believe our started when a neighbor dumped rabbit pellets in the woods. Im thinking the stilt grass might have been one of the ingredients in the rabbit food because it started right where the pellets were dumped.

All of it is still more interesting to look at than pavement at least. Keep up the good fight.
