Creative lurking?

Ok ... you caught me ... I was lurking ... several times this week ... waiting for someone to say something !!

I've never thought of myself as a lurker....what a shock!

I admit, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm practically a professional!

It's how I keep in touch with what gardeners are looking for, working on and interested in. I've been in the business
(the retail end) for many years and this site has been a big help in keeping me informed of trends and interests.

So please forgive my "lurking"...I just can't help myself!

I guess I should introduce myself. I'm a Canadian gardener and a garden writer. It kind of sneaked up on me but I discover that I am now a free-lance professional writer, having had several things published.
But I haven't been lurking - honest injun. I couldn't be a lurker if I tried. Public speaking doesn't scare me. In fact the thing I need to learn more than anything else is when NOT to talk. I'm getting better but I still don't have the dignified poise of a good listener, or even that of a lurker.
I try and remind myself of the admonition - you can't be learning anything new if you're always talking. And I agree with some of you others, this kind of communication is just like talking.

I lurk here occasionally, but am not a writer, so... Also, to be frank, I haven't seen a lot to respond to on this forum. And sometimes I think evil thoughts and don't post them.

Go ahead and post your evil thoughts. We can deal with them.

Evil thoughts, huh? About gardening, writing or what?! You've go my curiosity going!
