Need help with painting

Hi, our house is painted in an light stone/olive greeny color, and the windows as well as trims and crown molding are painted in beige.

I want to paint our entire house white, but it will be so much work to sand and paint all the trims and even the fire place, which are all beige.

Has anyone seen houses where the beige trim/ white wall combination could work, or do I have to bite the bullet and paint everything white?

Well, I went thru 10 pages of Houzz photos for you and did not find a single white house with beige trim. I saw a few that went the other way, or white on white. My suggestion to you would be see if you can find someone who has photoshop on their computer, take a picture of your house and have them download it and work with the colors you're interested in. I think that's the best way to figure out if your desired color combo will work, and more importantly, if you'll be happy with it if you did all this work!

given you remove all the loose paint (light sand blasting is the most efficient) and come back with an epoxy filler if necessary to bring the old paint to a level surface a base coat of light silver paint and a finish coat of white should do the job. the beige trim white siding and brick is often seen on the painted ladies of San Fransisco, a search of such may give you the right beige

White exterior plus beige trim with a third accent color such as black on the inside edge outlining the windows and a black or red or orange door would look great. Make sure existing trim paint is in good condition or you may have to go over it anyhow.

I could not find a picture to post for you of this combination. It certainly would be no harm to go ahead and paint the body of the home white and see how you like it with the beige trim. If you have to go to step 2 and paint the trim, the you haven't wasted any money. I think the idea of some color around the windows that Elise mentions is good.

I never like white and beige together it always makes the beige look dirty.
