My mother & I recently moved into this 1936 cottage in the historic district. There is no laundry area now & I am planning on making a laundry "closet", (since it won't really be much bigger than that), right outside the back door. I would like to enclose the small stoop area for a stack washer & dryer, and do away with the back door since we use a set of french doors instead of this door to enter the house from the back. The "room" will be approximately 3'w x 4'd. Any ideas about what to do to the outside so it doesn't just look like I enclosed the stoop - something cute? I've also attached a picture of the front of the house to show what it looks like.
