Okay, so it's really, really minor and with no attribution, but I thought it was worthy of sharing.

The Chicago Tribune ran a week-long feature on alleys and how they've contributed to the character of the city. On the website, they solicited reader comments on their memories or experiences related to alleys.

I was a city kid and the alleys were our main playground, so I contributed a comment that I had to edit several times to fit the 300 character limit.

On Friday, they published a side bar with selected comments from the web submissions. There were fifteen bullet points in the sidebar, and to my surprise two of them were my comments!

One was even garden-related, "I used to hate the hollyhocks that lined our alleys because they were bigger than me and full of bees!"
