Good or bad eggs?

I found these eggs on the underside of a pepper leaf this morning, and I don't know what they are. The pepper suffers a bit from aphids, so if they are good, I don't want to get rid of them, but if they're bad, I'd certainly like to not add more problems (aphids and snails this year already- sheesh). I'm in North Florida, if that helps.

So someone has told me they are shield bugs (stink bugs?). Does that make them...bad? I've cut the leaf off and put it in a jar with a paper towel top for the time being. Do chickens eat them?

They suck the juices from plant stems and fruits/seeds. I'm not sure if the chickens will eat them or not. It may be that their "stinky" properties may also render them distasteful to potential preditors.

Yes, stink bug eggs. Even though the image is small, they look suspiciously like the brown marmorated stink bug.

If so, squash 'em now!
