today i saw the strangest insect i've ever seen. it had large wings, a bright green fuzzy (almost looked like feathers) body, two large antennae, and a probiscus at least as long as it's 2+ inch body. the tail looked like it belonged on a black and brown bumblebee. this insect was large enough that my father-in-law mistook it for a baby hummingbird. i live in north central ohio. i wish i could've gotten a pic... wait, i bougt batteries for my camera today. i'll watch for it and try to post a pic. in the meantime... has anyone ever seen anything like it?
