Determinate tomato plants blooming again!

Back in April I planted several determinate tomatoes, and two of the plants survived the summer through disease and being neglected because I thought they were done. My Red Robin and New Big Dwarf plants are putting out new green leaves and are blooming again now that it's cooled off!

I cleaned them up, snipped off the dried limbs and leaves and anything spotted, thoroughly fertilized and watered them, and will keep my fingers crossed. This is not the first time I've had a determinate tomato revive and start producing after the worst of summer has passed -- last year and the year before that, my Rutgers determinates did the same thing.

So determinates can sometimes surprise you after the first flush if they survive the summer heat!
