ID this caterpillar?

I don't have a photo, so I will describe it the best I can. I found it on a Monarda stem in NE Ohio. It is brown,smooth, about 3 inches long and a little thicker than a pencil. It has darker brown angled lines on its sides, and two black marks behind the head(one large and one small). It has a single tail "horn". Any ideas? I couldn't find it in my book or online.
