Garden Predator advice

This year has been an awful year for my property and mosquito's, particularly the tiger mosquito. Also my raised veggie garden to a hit from the Japanese beetle and a few other pests,
I have been entertaining the idea of introducing Mandtids, ladybugs and Lacewings. (or just one) However, After doing some reading about Mantids, I'm actually wondering if they would be beneficial seeing how they eat anything that moves, good or bad. Im not sure if ladybugs and lacewings have the killing power to get the job accomplished.
So I ask, what would you want in your garden as protection? Also has anyone heard of trying to combat mosquitos using another insect?
