My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Marshall (or??) - knowledge of Ladakh?

Hi,

Just wondering if some people here might be more or less up to date about what has happened with the promising application of appropriate technology within Ladakh (politically part of India, but near Tibet).

I have not been able to get much info that was published since the 1990s. One report (late '90s) mentioned that over 200 trombe walls had been added to homes at that point, to provide solar heating in a climate that is often cold. But the people involved in the project expected that the passive solar-applications would expand within the country, and I have no idea if they did. Or, for that matter, what other applications of intermediate or appropriate tech have been applied or attempted.
