Likely not, but if you're concerned do a germination test with ten seeds--if eight sprout you've got an expected 80% viability, if only two sprout you'll need to sow heavily when you use the seeds for the garden next season.

What are you marinading the tomatoes in? Is there salt involved?

Are you saying that after you marinate the tomatoes, you drain off the juice and ferment it? This sounds like a weird way to go about it. Why not knock the seeds out of the sliced tomatoes with the tip of a knife BEFORE you marinate them?

These are smaller tomatoes - Jaune Flamme. I was marinading in red wine and I noticed that the seeds floated to the top. Thanks for the responses.

Floating seeds normally means they are no longer viable.

As you can see from this picture, Juane Flammee have large open seed cells and it's very easy to flick the seeds and gel out with the tip of a knife. It seems the tomatoes would marinate easier and dry more quickly without the seeds and gel anyway.
