So excited to post my first Houzz message! I just purchased my first home (yay!) a beautiful townhome in the city. The first floor is an open floor plan, which will house a entry way, living room, dining area and flow into the kitchen. I have no idea what to do with the windows! Went to HD and looked into custom mahogany blinds - which are beautiful. But should I go with white or cherry brown to match the kitchen cabinets? HW floor is dark/mid brown. Do I need panels over the wood blinds in the living room to make it cozy? Also, the back splash in the kitchen is brown, white and green...am I forced to use green as my accent color???
