Accessible bathroom, please critique plan

IÂm trying to design an accessible bathroom for a master bedroom suite addition and need comments and suggestions to improve the space. The link to my sketch is at the end. The interior dimensions are 14Â6" x 13Â7". I donÂt know how accurately the plan can be built, but IÂm going for broke.

Anyway, I think thereÂs too much wasted space. I donÂt know the cost difference between reducing the floor space and adding more corners to the overall addition. That is, making the bathroom smaller would mean cutting insets (term?) to the exterior walls and foundation.

The doors have to stay where they are because of the rest of the addition. One door goes to the closet; the other goes to the bedroom that exits outside. The countertops are 24-25 inches deep. The shower has a Kerdi-type barrier. Grab bars, faucets, showerheads, lights, etc. are not shown. The shower bench screws up the 5Â turning circle, but I want a fixed one. I donÂt like the linen closet just sitting against the wall, but I canÂt figure out where else to put more storage.

IÂve used the advice and suggestions you folks have already given me, North Carolina tech sheets for showers, toilets, and counters, the ADAAG figures for door access, U.S. Access Board guidelines, and the Code of Federal Regulations. The info doesnÂt seem to agree (I probably misunderstood a lot of it), so IÂve taken worst case (most space).

Please criticize the plan. Any comments or suggestions are more than welcome.
