Hi Scott,

Good question. I too am considering a Capital range hood. Not much info out there about them. I have seen one in person, but did not see it in operation. It seems to be well built and basic. Hopefully someone else can share some info.

I got a capital hood when I bought my capital range. Not sure the model # but it is 36 inches with heat lamps. Got a good deal on it because it was a floor model, but if I had it to do over I would not buy it again. It definately does the job but is very loud even at the lowest setting. It doesn't really have a low speed. Its either turbine speed or jet engine speed. the heat lamps are a neat feature that I probably would not have got if it wasn't on the floor model. I love my range but not happy with the noise of the hood.
