We didn't have the Aira brand, but in our last house we had 6-10 screens for french doors and regular doors - really liked them. We're putting 2 of the screens in now for our bedroom doors that open on to a patio.

We considered this concept until we thought about our Westie. One squirrel-sighting through a French door screen and we'd be replacing the screening and mechanism.

I'm reviving this thread. Anyone have experience with the Aira product? Phantom?

I have 2 phantoms. Dogs go thru them quite regularly.

They reset quite simply.

I like mine alot.

rollie -- I was picturing our dog literally going *through* the screening -- big hole. Not what happens at your house?

rollie, are u saying that the screens are in place, and the dogs have run through the screens and they just pop back into place??

I'm wondering about the cassettes into which the screen retracts. Do they make your doorway slightly narrower? And are they unsightly?

The manufacturers' websites do not give good photos of this.

I plan to go look at them, but it's a long drive to anywhere from here.

what color screens provide the best ability to see out ?

Instead of pulling up a 10 year old thread, start a new one to ask your question and you'd probably be better off asking in the window forum. :)
