Coin Silver Coffeepot

We were at this dealer last weekend...DH found two air-twist 18th century wines for his collection.

They've got this coin-silver coffeepot that is absolutely beautiful! Since we've had another thread on a coffeepot, I thought people would enjoy seeing it.

They've also got an 18" Ridgeway 'Tyrolean' welled-platter that's calling to me. I've got a sauce tureen in the same pattern and you know how that goes...two would be a pair...one more & I'd have a COLLECTION! lol

My heart started beating fast......and found no link!!!
    Please?
With the welled platter....you would have the start of a service set" not a pair....but I agree....one more and you have a collection started!

Well....That cost me a good hour ! LOL! But so far no money!!
But it did cause me to send links to my kids and say "See what kind of money those samplers are worth? And check out the blanket chest.....remember the one behund the sofa in the fanily room?"
I didn't know that people worked in coin that recently! That kettle is wonderful!!....as are those iced tea spoons...
Here in the mid-west.....items older than say 1870 are very few and far between.....almost none at dealers.......and if you are lucky, maybe you can find a treasure at auction, because no one else knows what it is!
    Thanks.....

I just went to look at the ice tea spoons & noticed that the coin-silver coffee pot I'd originally posted about it GONE. Must have sold this afternoon. Oh well.... Did you get to see it????

Going to that shop is like going to a museum except you get to touch & feel so it's better than a museum. I'd love to have an 18th C. sampler but, alas, not in my near future. If I'd just stop the dishes...maybe! lol

    Well....my sampler is 19th century.....dated 1823 I believe....
Not fabulous, only signed with initials....has a 1/2 inch tear in the edge, colors bright....alphabets....no verse...
But I bought it in a box of linens for 10 for the box.....sold out of the box for a while, finally said.....enough I am keeping the rest.....and I had well more than $10 in my pocket.
So I sought out the family and told them there was a very nice sampler in the box.....and asked if they really wanted to sell it.....
They had no interest!...It has a very good home with me!
And I have another....not finished....but of the same perior or earlier....but not finished....just the alpahbets...
Oh well....that was another $10....plus a hundred or more to frame!! LOL!
Was it the pot with the creamer and sugar?
