Wolf 15 inch modules

Anyone have them? I'm thinking of the steamer, induction and the multipurpose gas in our island. But I'm concerned about putting the gas in the center. Will their be enough suppose from the granite if I put a 3 gallon pot of chili on it. I really don't want it on the end but that would give it support on three sides.

When they put granite in our apartment at the house, they added a metal strip on the front edge of the sink for support.

it's a good idea to "rod" cooktop and sink cutouts in stone countertops to strengthen the thin spans. If your fabricator doesn't know what that is , best find another one.

antss, I haven't talked to my fabricator about this yet. I'm still debating what appliances to select. I just wanted to talk with someone who has put three of the modules together.

I never watched our fabricator install the granite. All I know is that my son said he saw them put some type of metal on the granite where the sink was. I'm sure he knows about "rod". I never knew that's what it was called. Learned something new.

I guess I didn't read my post before I posted it. I'll try to explain it better:

We are planning three Wolf modules - 15 inches wide each and a 45 inch downdraft in our island. Don't say anything about the downdraft - we know it is not the best choice but we can't do anything else - we've looked into everything - I have had a JennAir for 25 years and for the way I cook - we have never had a problem - enough said.

I haven't talked to the granite guy yet. We will stop to talk to him tomorrow but I want to know our options first. Talking to the appliance people and also several customer service people at Wolf, they don't sell alot of these modules so they aren't much help.. I will call Wolf again in the morning but I'm not sure they have the answer.

My main concern is that the cutout is one piece. Downdraft is in the back and the three modules together. SO - is there enough support for the center module - it really just has support on the front edge. Now, the Wolf installation guide says:
"When two or more modules are installed together, an integrated module filler strip is recommended. If a downdraft system is also installed, an integrated module support for downdraft ventilation is required (model DD30 only)" - our's is model DD45. Does that mean we can't do it with the 45 inch one?

We know it needs some type of support but the guide does not show any diagram and most of their diagrams explain everything you need. My husband and son don't think it's that big of a deal but I like to be able to see things ahead of time. Are these supports going to screw up my storage in the cabnet? That's why I'd really like to talk to someone who has them.
I'd really appreciate any replies. thanks

    a downdraft ???

it's always the omitted details that throw people.

I would not advise that type of installation under any circumstances, Wolf's special brackets included. You are simply fighting gravity in too many places.
