How are Pegasus faucets?

I am doing a whole house--new build. My plumber really wants me to use them for all faucets. Well, I have pretty much done that, but in two powder rooms, i want to use a different finish. In the basement powder room, I want ORB. I like the look of the Pegasus ORB finish. I bought it. I know my plumber won't like that--but too bad! But, I am curious about quality. Anyone have experience? Honestly, if it lasts three-four years, I can afford to replace it then. Right now, saving $100 is great!

I don't know much about Pegasus except they are a Home Depot owned brand. There were several threads a few years back with people purchasing them. I hope someone chimes in about the longevity of them. I wanted to state that I know how important it is to save money but in four years you will be spending more than the $100 price difference in price. Don't forget the price of removal and installation of the new items in the future.
    Best of luck!

Homepro01, you are right about the cost to replace. I hope I won't have to do that! We'll see. I really like the ORB finish on this better than the Kohler or Moen or Delta ORB, so that was part of my decision too!

I'm remodeling also and my plumber told me to buy Pegasus . I was surprised. He said they are better than Kohler and Moen. Had something to do with brass parts...don't remember.

I was replacing 4 bathrooms and all wound up being Kohler and Moen. I bought the ones I thought looked nicer.

    So much for practicality.

Yes, my handyman told me that he thinks the Pegasus are heavier--more brass. He did say he has had some trouble with the finish chipping off (on a brass faucet that is about five years old). Oh well. I like the looks of this one. I am going to keep it!

They are Chinese made from basically the same factory that turns out the Glaciar Bay crap and the quality is a big hit or miss. I would never put them in my house because of that.

FWIW I have a Pegasus crome tub/shower fixture in my son's bath that we are all using now due to a gutt out of MB. It works great and I really like it. Yesterday the crome was looking a bit icky and I tried to clean it up with some cleaner and it didn't come completly clean, water spots.
That is probably our fault for not keeping on top of it. However it does sound kinda like plastic. I will go after it again and see what happens. We have delta taps for sink and I cleaned it right after and it is sparkly.

I re-did my powder room almost years ago with their ORB faucet. The faucet installed very easily and has held up well. The sink drain, however, is badly dis-colored. Perhaps it is the bronze finish at fault, but I won't buy their products again.

They are chinese made faucets. However, they are heavy duty and they are made from quality materials. The look and design are very upscale and if you want the look for less then pegasus faucets are good for that purpose.

I bought Pegasus 9000 series faucet on clearance from HD for powder room - haven't installed it yet. I have Delta ORB (Victorian) for master, again haven't installed it yet (no countertop/sinks). Builder put Delta Victorian ORB shower head in master, but chrome drain. Also put Delta chrome toe-push drains in both tubs (combo in general bath and soaking tub in master that isn't done yet). My plumber *did* mention that ORB is not good for a drain (though using PVD technology for faucet was OK with him). I will have to see how it works out if/when I replace the chrome with Delta ORB. I just know that as far as faucets go, PVD finish and brass internals are what to look for. Not sure if Pegasus (or Delta, for that matter) does PVD finish on drains. Just wanted you to know what my plumber said about ORB drains.
