My First Sundae

We have company coming and they will be staying for awhile so had to get my fix this morning. I won't have much time to play here for awhile.

I wanted to have something when you ladies stop by to pick me up on the way to Lynn's on Sunday!!! So how about a sundae on Saturday? Any particular flavor you'd like?LOL

This is my sundae inspired by Luvs post. I topped it with a jawbreaker for the cherry. I went for a ST Pat's sundae for a color change. Also made some for Easter with pastel colors but will have to post another time. Work is calling.

I played with the lighting some but as you can see the little Welcome sign was left on my cadet and the lamp cord is showing. I don't have time to retake so please except the booboo's and look beyond.

    Pretty pretty!
I love the green in the sundae and you put the whole vignette together very well.
I had planned to drag out a few things and try to pull something together for VDay but alas, the mean ol weather man is saying we're going to have a repeat of ice like 1 year ago this week so I've been to busy trying to prepare for power failure and all that other nasty fun stuff that goes with it. No time to play :(. *sigh*

That Sundae is so darn cute. Believe it or not I got rid of my sundae and banana split dishes a few years ago. Oh well. Do I see a green jar in the first pic? I love the emerald green glass.

Punk... I Like It... I Like It!!
What a cute Sat/Sunday... Clever using St. Pat colors.
The jaw breaker looks just like a cherry and works great.
What did you use for the 'topping'...looks like real Whip Cream?
I hope you don't wear yourself out with your company - staying for awhile.
Usually you never get the proper rest, always thinking of their comforts, while they're visiting.

    Don't fret on missing out...
I'll postpone the Bus trip...till your Company is Gone..
I don't think anyone would mind..and it would give Lynn more time...lol

Love your St. Pat's version of the sundae, Punk. It really is cute and I love the "cherry" on top. ;o) And you even placed it with a place setting which is also very pretty. Enjoy your company, and try to get in a bit of rest for yourself when you can as well. We'll all be here waiting to hear all about it when you can get back here.

That's very cute, and you are well ahead of the game with St. Pat's decorating already started. Having seen these sundaes I'm just hoping I still have some glasses but I think they are packed away with my totem glass so I'll have to wait, not getting that out yet. I'll be looking at the candy counter with new eyes for sure.

Great "candy" Sundae! Love the ribbon coming off it too! What a terrific little vignette. I like how you have the lamp over it making for a cozy glow. Gorgeous crystal hurricane in the background too!

I like yours even more than the original pictured one, Punk! Very cute. Your idea to use the red jawbreaker for a "cherry" was great! Question: what is that green & red piece at the back of it . . . the spoon?

Hi Everyone and thanks so much for all your sweet comments.

Lynn, the green and pink is a spoon of little GD. I wanted more color and I didn't have any candy canes so I just added a straw and spoon.

Jane, I used life savers for the topping.

Everyone, I've gotten back here a few times and thanks again for all your comments. I will be back with more in a few weeks.

Partymusic, if you make it over here, check out my rose bowl in these pictures. We had used these in one of my DFD wedding.

punk, I was looking at your pretty "sundae" and never even noticed the rose bowl! lol! Is it safe to burn that height candle in the rose bowl? I like the all-white sundae with the colorful straw and spoon additions. It's very cute!
