36' Range Dilemma

I do not have gas in my city, so I must have all electric utilities. My range has been broken for 9 months, and being limited to electric, I cannot find one to meet my needs. Ideally, I would like a 36" induction range.

Only 1 is being sold in North America that I know of - Diva, which is $9,000-$10,000. I am willing to pay $4000-$6000, maybe a little more for something such as the Falcon.

I LOOOVE the Falcon, and it is very reasonably priced at about $3500, but it is sold only in Europe. By the time I ship it here, it would cost $7000-$8000, have no warranty, and not meet my electrical requirements.

Viking makes an induction range which is $8000 with tax, etc. but it is only 30" and has a couple of 6" burners which are totally useless in my opinion.

Sears makes a 30" induction for $3000 which is not only unattractive, but small with small burners as well.

Smeg makes a 36" electric, but it is radiant, not induction, costs $5000, and has no storage or warming drawer.

I would even buy a 30" radiant if the price were right, it had 5 burners, and it looked commercial, but each one has its own problems. I hate the fact that the Electrolux has no knobs. I am trying to get away from the nightmare electronics. GE Cafe looks really nice, but the interior leaves much to be desired, and the ratings are not in yet. Both of these ranges are over $3000 with delivery, tax, & warranty, so I want something that is not going to break!

If I could find a range like the Falcon, I would be so happy!! I hope demand increases so more choices will become available. I have considered buying a cheapie to make do until what I want becomes available in the U.S., but my space requires a slide-in which costs more, and I just have not been able to bring myself to pay $1200 for something I hate and will get rid of soon.

Does anyone else have comments, similar experiences, or solutions?
