Although it sounds very nice, I would pass on the tiling. Sometimes less is more and the tile would probably be too much. I would instead put a moulding on top of it that has some decorative features. Also, fyi, there is a rule of thumb regarding heights of the wainscoting in relation to the ceiling, I believe you don't want to bring it up to exactly 1/2 of the height of the room. Good luck!

The more details, the smaller the space will seem. Similar color throughout will blur the boundaries between floor, wall and ceiling.

I agree, I'd leave off the tile. The wainscoting will give the room plenty enough architectural as well as decorative detail. Hope you plan on painting it white. That's my preference. Any wainscoting above 42" tends to bring the ceiling down and make the space feel smaller.

The size of your bath sounds like my current bath. I have RH's Silver Sage on top and white wainscoting on the bottom. It looks fabulous and sorry I can't post any photo's of it at this time.

As far a wall paint, a nice pale blue or blue green would be lovely. BM's Cashmere Gray is what I have in my master bath.

Thanks, all. I will forego the tile. I do really like the Silver Sage. I am debating between hardwood floor as is seen in the rest of the house and whatever tile we choose for the entry (either porcelain or slate like the continental slate or the daltile slate). Any advice?
