Hey, there! Congrats on your decisions. I am in appliance making decision mode right now. We are looking at the Miele Speed Oven and regular oven. We're trying to decide if we should do the Master Chef on both or just one of them and, if so, whether we'd do the Speed Oven v. the Oven. Did you do the Master Chef feature on both or just your speed oven? Thanks.

I originally ordered the chef, but changed to the master chef. The salesman recommended the chef, since I do not cook fancy dishes or spend a lot of time in the kitchen (yet). Apparently, one difference is that the master chef has programs for cooking. If you want to roast a chicken, you just hit that program and it will do it. I think the chef also has programs, but not as extensive. I heard that one of the master chefs has two heating coils, bottom and top, but the chef does not. Anyway, the clincher for me was the knobs. The architect recommended the master chef as there are no knobs. A couple of my friends also thought I should not have knobs. The kitchen is entirely exposed to the living room, dining room, front door. It actually will be the focal point in an open floor plan. I decided just to bite the bullet and do it.

rockybird, I have the miele masterchef oven. I love it! I ended up with some chicken parts last week that my husband intended to grill and then he had to leave town. I threw them on a cookie sheet and pushed the buttons for chicken parts and they came out so great! Really crispy on the outside and moist inside.

I use the auto roast probe all the time for pieces of meat. That's the primary reason i chose the masterchef. It works great!

Congratulations!! I can't wait to see the result. :)
