Tablescape Thursday

Here is the table I did for TT.

The plates are called Olive Grove Collection... I got them in TJ Maxx, raised olives in purple on a green background..

The napkins with the olives I found at WSonoma, the same day..what luck..:)

The purple ceramic napkin rings are from Villeroy and Boch.., of course they were in clearance, my middle name, remember???...

The purple stem glasses I found in TJ Maxx 2 weeks ago...

I didn't have any fresh flowers, so I used green apples in a fluted bowl with some faux lemons tucked in..

And as it was Ash Wed., and we can't have meat, I made Baked Clams and Clam Chowder..

Long Island Clam Chowder...

There were about 70 more tables entered..fun to look at when you have time...

Kathleen, your "Olive Grove" table is really pretty. The purple colours go so well with your plates and glasses and the fruit centerpiece adds a nice splash of colour. Of course, the food looks fabulous as usual....easy to give up meat with delicious yummies like those!

Tablescape Thursday sure is getting BIG! I have to break down the viewing of all those tables over 2 nights! But it is such fun to check them all out. Makes me wish I had a blog so I could participate now and then.

Pretty pretty table! I'm crazy about those napkins, too. I can see that I need to hit our local WS store more often! You seem to find such great things there on clearance. BTW, your middle name is "In Clearance" . . . DH says mine is "Deep Discount" as I always preface my new finds to him with, "Honey, look what I bought today, and it was at such a deep discount!"
I really enjoy seeing the TT tables. Such talent and imagination!

Another nice one, Kathleen. Gosh, you even had a pitcher to match and I love the detail of the bow you added on the centerpiece. I remember when you got these plates, and I really like them. Getting the napkins to match was priceless! ;o) Not crazy about clams, but you sure make them look good in your food pics! I love looking at all the other tablescapes on the blogs, but it sure takes allot of time! Luvs

    Thanks, Lynne, and DD..
DD it is easy to start a blog..Just think of a name..go to blogger.com, and in 10 min you will be open for business..do it! And if you do, come to my blog and participate in the St Patrick's Day Party..I will have Mr. Linky up the night before, (I hope, it is my first time hosting!)..and you just link your blog, then people come and look!
Anyone can start a blog..really!!! Very easy...and there are a million out there!

Luvs, it does take a lot of time, the ones with music take forever to load! And sometimes people link the wrong post!
Luvs, I had that pitcher for years, finally finding things to use it with!
Luvs, you should do a blog too..Kay's Kreations!!
DD, I don't even know your name to suggest a name..
One of my friends wants to do a no blog blog..just wants to be able to do events with us, so she is doing Events Only!
    Cute!

Kathleen, love the olives table setting and how cool that you found the napkins the same day at a different store! The whole setting looks very elegant and casual at the same time. The lemons in the centerpiece dont even look fake!! I love them.

    And clam chowder, yum!!

Kathleen, that is so funny about the name you chose for "my" blog. That's what I was always going to use when I opened my craft shop! (We all know that never happened) LOL

I don't complete "kreations" often enough to keep anyone entertained I'm afraid, and don't do anything exciting enough to chat about daily, so think I'll pass. I'll just stick to sharing here and one the Painting forum when I do get something made. I do enjoy visiting other's blogs and seeing all the creative and pretty ideas though.

Kathleen, thanks for the info on how to start a blog. I had a look and it does seem pretty easy, however I'm just not "there" yet. I would love to do it someday but right now I don't feel I have the time to devote to it like I would want to. DH would probably start complaining if I spent more time on the computer and my other fear is, I may start buying even MORE things just to show on my blog! That being said, I could change my mind at any moment...especially since I would LOVE to participate in your St. Pat's Day blog party. I will be sure to check it out anyway!

DD, and Luvs, you only have to post when you want...nothing happens when you don't...

Not true, Kathleen. If you don't post frequently, people get tired of coming by and finding nothing new! LOL

Very pretty table setting Kathleen. Those olive dishes and napkins were made for each other even though you found them in different places!! I have to tell you, I just donated an Oil & Vinegar set as well as a Ceramic Decanter, in the same pattern. I bought them at Ross' here in FL, for my kitchen a few years ago. I would have sent them on to you..if I knew..
That meal looks so mouth watering...as usual.
