Problems with BlueStar Grill......

Hello,

We have the BlueStar 60" range top since moving into our new house last December. We chose this unit based on my readings here as we had never heard of this brand. We have never had a gas top before so we canÂt really compare it to others, but aside from one issue we do love it.

We have twice had to have the grill repaired. Not sure what the part is called, the plot light or glow plug? ItÂs a white piece that has a metal type of coil that turns red hot when you light the grill up. This then ignites the burner. Each time the metal part seemed to disintegrate or fall into many pieces...once this happens the grill can no longer work at all until the whole piece is replaced.

Last week was the second time this happened, it took 1 week before the serviceman came. The first time it took 3 weeks. It has been down for 1 whole month in the 3.5 months we have been using it.

My wife has since used it once and already there is a flame where this piece is located (piece has a metal cover over it from where the flame is clearly visible). This will inevitably cause the same problem again soon, and very soon. No luck talking to the distributor here...they have no shortages of excuses.

If anyone here has had this problem please let me know what was done, to me the grill is the best part of this unit.
