Hi Everyone,

I purchased my oven about three years ago but have not had the time to use it much until recently.

The first issue I have noticed is that nothing I try to roast browns. However, about a week ago I decided to use the self-cleaning function,even though the oven was only lightly soiled. Well, that's when my problems really started. The oven looked worse after the self-cleaning than it did before. After scrubbing the oven walls manually with a couple of products I realized that the splatters from the grease were permanently etched on the oven walls.

To make matters worse, a day after the self-cleaning, I went to turn on the oven to bake something and found that the oven was not heating at all even after preheating for 30 minutes.

I have contacted Dacor's customer service about this and they have asked me to contact a local service company and have them call their customer service department when they are at my house so that they can evaluate the situation.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone else who has had a similar issue with this oven model or any other Dacor oven, and how the company handled the problem.
