We are about to move into our new house. While going through rooms to look for issues (paint problems, chips,etc) we noticed that our honnd black granite around the fireplace and on one of our built-in desk had tape marks from where the painters had masked off to stop overspray from getting on the stone. The tape was on there a long time (months). It appears that the glue soaked into the granite and left the marks. Is there a way to clean this off? The granite appears darker where the tape was than the rest of the stone. We haven't tried cleaning it yet.
