My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I am thinking of ordering my Totos from this company. The low prices, free shipping and no tax make this very appealing. Has anyone ever ordered from this company? How was your experience? Thanks!
We do not have a Toto, but did do a lot of research last year when our 12 yr old Kohler pressure assist toilets started having problems and Kohler had major issues with repair parts for them. The August 2005 issue of Consumer Reports magazine rated 26 toilets. The Toto Carlyle (probably different model names now) rated 10th overall. At $500 it was the most expensive of all 26 toilets, but CR noted that it offered style and relatively easy exterior cleaning. The top 4 were all under $300 (Eljer Titan, Kohler K-3493, and two Gerbers). Specific models do make a difference. For example, other Eljer models ranked #8, #24, and #25. So unless you are set on a Toto, there are other better performers at much lower list prices. We went with an American Standard that a local plumber installed for a nominal charge. No problems so far, but it's only been a year. Good luck with your purchase!
We purchased our Toto Drake from them back in August 2006 - great deal, prompt shipping, super service. Would use them again in a heartbeat. (In fact - am starting research now on bath #2 redo so if their prices are still good they'll be it)
Ordered a Toto Guinevere toilet and pedestal sink in June '07. All pieces arrived when promised, and were in good condition. I don't know about ease of returns since we didn't have any issue with what we had ordered.
Thanks, olympiceagle. Believe me, I have considered several toilets- and the three that I was down to were the kohler cimmeron, AS Cadet3 and the Totos with the GMax flush. It finally was down to two factors- reading what consumers said about the toilets and price (I need to buy 5 toilets at the same time, so I don't have the luxery of spending $500 on a toilet). As far as style, I am content to go with a plain, simple white.
annie1956 and isy73- thanks for your feedback. It makes it easier to make a purchase online if others have done so successfully.
We've gotten two Toto toilets from them and will be ordering a 3rd soon. We have the 1-piece Guinevere and Soiree models and love them. The first Soiree arrrived in pieces... I sent an email and another was sent right out. They didn't even want the broken one back so I now have a spare seat, etc. Highly recommended.
Funny you should ask..... just received today a Toto Drake from them. Came via Fed-ex, was shipped in a large box containing the base and tank in individual boxes. The large box was filled with what looked like spray-foam. Pain to unpack but certainly well packed.
THANK YOU so much for posting. i took a look at the site and am amazed at the prices. there is no doubt in my mind where i will order our toilets from. we need seven for our new build and this is the cheapest i've found. we'll be getting: four drakes, 2 elongated and 2 elongated/ADA; one clayton elongated/ADA and two soiree elongated/ADA. we haven't broken ground yet but i'll post back after i do my shopping! again, thanks.
