Pewter Dinnerware

Hi Everbody! I know I have been missing for a while now but I saw this post on my local craigslist and I remembered somebody looking for pewter dinnerware sometime back. So I wanted to post the link here for whoever was looking for it.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/hsh/1625449966.html

I have not compared the price and value with other places to see if its a good deal though. If you are interested, I can buy it for you and have DH pick it up. I have never shipped such things before but I can manage that, I am sure.

I have been checking in occasionally to see all your lovely table-settings. I am lacking energy to put together any seasonal stuff or even reply to posts regularly because of my pregnancy. My eyes get super dry and tired pretty early so I end up not logging into the computer after work. :)

I have missed talking with you all though so I should log in more often. I kept thinking I will post when I have some table/decos to show but that doesnt seem to be happening anytime soon, LOL.

OMG, what a wonderful collection of pewter dinnerware!! I would LOVE to own it. It's Jane (Slinkey), though, that has the wonderful pewter, Mo. I haven't seen her posting here this past week.

    Jane . . . yoo-hooo . . . . you doing ok?? We miss you here!

Mo, When's your baby due? I didn't realize that you were in the Seattle area. You are so sweet to offer to pick up the pewter and ship it. Gosh, that's very tempting!

Hi Mo, I didn't know you were going to have a baby either--congratulations! Nice to know why you haven't been joining in here with us--we always wonder why people leave us. Hope things are going well for you, and we'd love to have you join in anytime you can. Luvs

    Thanks Lynne, Jaybird and Luvs.

Lynne, the baby is due in July. That set definitely looks tempting, doesnt it? I have not done any dish/decor shopping in a while! I am spending a lot buying bigger clothes now, LOL! I loved your India table, Lynne. Very fun.

Things are going well, Luvs. This is my first time though so I end up calling the doc every few weeks with some kind of new pain/question which they just tell me is normal so I feel stupid for calling!!

I do miss the wonderful group here - I have to make it a point to join in some more.

    Mo,
Maybe when it gets closer to July, we can all do a Baby Shower tablescape! I may have to be doing that for my friend's daughter about that time anyway, so I can do a virtual one for practice - not to mention picking up ideas from others on this forum.
    Hurray for Motherhood.

Mo if you know what the baby is, please don't tell us..I love a surprise! We didn't know pink or blue till the baby arrived for all 4 of my little gkids...
And I am in on the shower!

    Well, congrats Mo!
BTW, do you have the book, "What To Expect When You're Expecting" yet? I'm married to a family practice doc, so I have access to great medical info, but I LOVED this book and can't say enough good things about it. I read it through many times while I was pregnant with my DD and referred to it again and again throughout my pregnancy. My DH thinks it's a great down-to-earth reference book and recommends it to all his first-time pregnant moms.
The author's follow-up books, "What To Expect The First Year" and "What To Expect The Toddler Years" are also great. I bought all of them and then sent them on to my sister when she got pregnant with her first baby.

Thanks guys!! OA, thats such a sweet idea. You guys are really the best. I am looking forward to seeing what you guys do!!

OA, are you doing an Oscar night table this year with those award statues you got last year?

Check out the link if you are a hard-core baker...

Allright Kathleen, I wont tell you then. :) I do know though... it didnt make a difference to us one way or the other so we didnt bother with the gender being a secret.

Lynn, I have that book. Actually, my sister gave it to me too!! And told me to only read the relevant month so I dont get too scared. So thats what I have been doing. :) The follow-up books are a great idea. I will have to look into that to give my sister - she has a toddler now.

    Mo,
I'm not a hard core baker, but I LOVED the idea. I read through the whole thing and was ready to do them. (They're big!) Then I clicked on the link to the cookie cutter. They no longer carry them. "Not for sale due to copyright laws." NUTS. I was all set too.

    Mo,

I don't remember seeing your posts since I started posting but want to send my Congratulations too for you and the little one on the way. I hope to be a part of the baby tablescape so will try to keep a few things when I start donating this Spring.

Beautiful pewter settings you posted. Do you live close to Seattle?

Hope you can find more time to join in here again. Punk

I've never really gotten into pewter, but I think it is lovely. Like Punk, I don't remember you posting before. But glad to hear from you now. I can think of nothing more exciting than a baby on the way. And I think my kitchen is the perfect place for a baby shower scape, boy or girl, I have it covered.

Thanks Punk and Syble!! I am getting excited about seeing all your tables!

Punk, I actually live a little north of Seattle - a little over half an hour's drive.

OA, thats a bummer about the cookie cutter. However, if you are only going to make a few, you could try making your own cardboard template and cut the cookies out with a knife. :)

Shucks, I missed this post and never got to see the pewter dinnerware. I hope it went to a good home where it will be loved and cared for.
