You've probably already done this, but a google search of building plans for narrow lots brings up a bunch. Try www.dongardner.com and check the box for a narrow lot. You'll probably need a front garage to avoid having interior living space on both sides of the foyer.

There is a builder in our local that builds some really beautiful homes, and I know one of his models called Bella Vista II is what you describe and I think he has more. He has a website and some homes have images.

Another good idea is to look through the floorplans of condo complexes ~ whether in your newspaper or online, through the various builders.

There is a masterful use of space in these kinds of developments, and you may be able to find something from which to begin planning your own design.

I'd say the majority of the plans that are open floorplans seem to be that way. Ours is, and I've seen lots of other people have it on this site.

If you search for narrow plans you should find what you're looking for.

My floor plan has a straight through view. Did you see my "Finally have a floor plan post?" You can stand in the front door, look through the foyer, the great room and out the back door. I have bedrooms and baths on the right, but nothing on the left.

Charmichael and Dame have a number of plans that fit the bill [including our own].

My house isn't new, so I don't have a floor plan to show you, but I do have some pictures. My home is an atrium ranch. The first photo is taken from the foyer and shows the atrium (now re-modeled - though it is 70's cool in this photo!) and the living room. The ceiling is vaulted and has an 8 X 8 skylight at the peak of the hip roof. It is about 45 feet from the front door to the sliders.
