Is it too late.....?

.....To Post My Easter Table? I hope not as I'm late getting my pics rounded up since I had forgotten my camera at a friend's house and had to use my DD's camera to take these. Then she went back home and I had to nag her to email them to me!

My centerpiece consisted of a glass cake plate surrounded by an egg wreath (from Superstore last yr) and topped with a bunny(from HomeSense this yr). I placed this on a white doily on the pastel coloured tablecloth I got at Home Outfitter's last yr.

I don't have any "bunny-patterned" dishes (yet!)so used my blue "flower" bowls/plates on top of my yellow/green plates and gold chargers. The napkins under the plate match the tablecloth. I placed lace placemats overtop of pink napkins. I wasn't too creative with take-home favours and just had the Lindt choc carrot and a few choc eggs.

On each side of the centerpiece, I put a rectangular vase with Easter grass, tulip & egg picks, some fresh Gerber daisies in a vase, a cross candle holder and a little white bunny (doesn't it look like he's praying?)

This is the full view of the tablescape. I neglected to take any pics of the food this time, always difficult to do when you are making roast turkey and all the fixings and you want to get it served while it is still hot!

Another view...(taken before I had all the chairs around the table!)

Thanks for looking! Hope you all had a Happy Easter! Are there anymore Easter tablescapes out there? I think it is NEVER too late to post them!

dd...it's Never too late for any of Your tablescapes!
    I love..love..love this beautiful Spring/Easter table.
The soft, pastel colors in your tablecloth just sets everything off beautifully. I love how you layered your blue dishes with the yellow and the green ones and used the lace placemate to set them off too. Also that bunny centerpiece is adorable. I like how you used the egg wreath as a base. I waited too long to get one of those wreaths.. When I had the time to go, they were all gone.
That bunny does look like he's praying and is just precious. Everytime I see those stems of your...I get 'pangs'...I've got to get some too.!!
I'm so glad you posted this lovely table. I really enjoyed seeing it.

It's so pretty and really looks like you put a lot of thought and effort into it. I like the centerpiece and the vases alongside it. I'll bet your guests enjoyed the festive table......made them feel special.

    Very, very pretty!

The tablecloth really caught my eye. It's something I'd like to have. I've stolen your pictures and put them in my digital scrapbook for next year's Easter dinner.
    Thanks for posting.

    DD,
I too second (third? - fourth?) the lovely tablecloth. And the whole table is so special. I love the cross and the bunny--reminds us what Easter is all about. Just like OA, some of your pix went into my computer...

It's so much fun to see an expert do a table!

This is absolutely beautiful. LOL and it's one of the reasons I don't post tablescapes. You people are all so talented and you have such beautiful things. I love everything, but I especially love your centerpiece, and just the overall look of the table. - Gail

Very pretty table, love the pastels in the tablecloth & the blue bowls & plates, and you centerpiece too!!!

Each one I see has so many different ideas, amazing how many different looks we all come up with!

YES, where are all the OTHER Easter Tablescapes this year???????

DD, can I ask, what kind of program do you use that allows you to frame your pictures?

Jane, thanks so much for your many compliments! It is too bad you missed out on an egg wreath but there's always next year, I'm sure! LOL! I was glad I remembered to shut off the flash for the pics as the eggs on the wreath have the "sugared" look and they always go white in pics with flash. I was sure everyone would be tired of my "stems" as I use them so often. I highly recommend an amber colour for stemware as it seems to go well with lots of shades of table cloths/dishes/accessories. I'm getting bored with them though and am on the look out for something new.

Susie, thanks! Glad you liked the bunnies praying at the crosses (x 2 sides of the table). I had really wanted to find a large cross for the centerpiece as that depicts the true meaning of Easter to me but I never found one that was just right so incorporated the small crosses. It was just a nice fluke that the bunnies happened to look like they were praying!

Thanks Bonnie! After doing my "Think Spring" table only the week before Easter, I have to admit I didn't really put as much thought as I would have liked into this tablescape as I didn't have time. I was happy with how it turned out though and the family members who came for dinner were appreciative.

OA thank you! I was thrilled to find that tablecloth last year for $14.99 at Home Outfitter's (it is a chain store but not sure what it is called in the States). The pastel coloured squares in it just "speak" Easter to me. I think it is what "makes" the table.

Magpie, thanks! Glad you liked how I incorporated the true meaning of Easter into my tablescpe. I am hardly an "expert" at tablescapes, just love doing them and am honoured you would say that!

Gail, thanks for your compliments! You are sweet but I would hate to think that you wouldn't post a table setting because of me. I enjoy seeing everything posted on here as it usually means the person had fun either scouting out the items, getting a good deal, setting the table/vignette, etc. It is all about sharing the enjoyment of it with us, not who has the best things or who does the best tables. So, please feel free to post anything you want!

Yachter, thanks so much! You are right, it is so neat seeing all the different ideas for tablescapes out there. I know quite a few of the regulars on here were away for Easter and maybe that accounts for the low postings.

I post my pics on Flickr which has a special "Picnik" feature which lets you add different things like frames/text/matte edges, etc. You can also adjust the exposure and sharpness of the photos. I have a lot of fun with it.

I was wondering though if anyone here has a "Pro account" with Flickr? I didn't realize you could only post 200 pics for free before they want you to upgrade and pay ($25) a year to keep adding photos. Has anyone done this? I do like having all my tablescape pics in the same place and I like the features mentioned above so don't want to change to Photobucket, etc. I've deleted a few of my old ones so I can keep adding but don't like doing that so might have to pay the $. If anyone else here has done this upgrade can you let me know?

It's all been said but your table is beautiful as always!! And it's never too late to post lovely tabls.

I think TJ Maxx had a very similar table cloth and napkins.

Thanks Bright! I appreciate your compliments. We don't have TJ Maxx here in Canada but from the sounds of it, I'll bet they do have similar items to our Home Outfitters.

DD, I've had hundreds of photos on Photobucket for several years now due to the Inspiration Albums for our Forum and Garden Junk Forum. No problem with being limited on number you can have. And now Photobucket has so many wonderful effects and things you can do with pictures. Its great. However, I did upgrade to Pro last month. It was worth it to pay the small fee and get rid of those blasted ads. They drove me crazy.

Your Easter table is just gorgeous. I love every single things about it. I've saved it to my files to get into our Inspiration album. I'm so far behind its ridiculous. I'm really sorry I've been so lax at adding photos this year.
Between carrying for my Dad who's mostly bedridden and lives with us, and the darn Fibromyalgia on warpath, and hurting my back, I'm less than fun these days. LOL
So I've been mostly lurking on the Forum and certainly not contributing or responding as I should. My apologies and hopefully I'll get our albums up to speed soon.

Gail, I feel exactly like you do!!! LOL.
    hugs, Karen

I thought I had posted here already, but didn't see it. I have a big problem with posting and forgeting that it only a preview and leave before submitting!

Gorgeous table. You are a true table artist. Your tables are always amazing. I love the colored plates and all the wonderful details.

I bought that tablecloth and napkins and sent it to someone in Australia for an Easter swap on another board. I didn't buy one for myself and regretted not doing so. I went back to TJ Maxx last week and found it and another one that was similar on the Easter clearance for $3 each! I also bought another one in blue, and yellow for the same amount. I can't believe they clearance them since they are not just Easter, they can be used all spring.

I would have prefered to have a smaller one since I usually use my table in its smallest size, but all they had was the larger ones. I guess I just have to expand the table size.

Gail, don't be hesitant to post your tables. Mine are nothing like most here, but I am having fun and have become the queen of the TS and Goodwill. It is pretty bad when you walk in and the clerks tell me about some pretty new plates! Our Salvation Army store moved to a bigger building and opened yesterday. I went by there on my way to work yesterday so I could be there on opening day, but they didn't open until 10. I thought they opened at 9 and I had to be in the office at 10. But, I am headed that way this morning.
    Keep the tables coming!

That is so pretty! I love the centerpiece, and the whole table just sings Spring..
    You take great pics too!
    Every thing blends together perfectly!

Hey, I thought I had posted to this also! I've looked at it again and again everytime someone else commented! Love that pretty tablecloth and matching napkins. And that little praying bunny is just so sweet! I think you did a terrific job, love the way you used the egg picks and your bunny centerpiece, and those pretty blue plates and bowls really pull the color from the tablecloth. Just makes me "sigh". ;o)

Karen, thanks for the info on Photobucket, I will have to have a closer look at it. You do so much work on the Inspiration Albums, of course, you would be familiar with it. And don't feel bad about not working on them or not contributing as much as usual on this forum. You certainly have your hands full with caring for your Dad and dealing with your illness and sore back. I hope you are feeling better soon. Hopefully, even just lurking on here takes your mind off your woes for a bit. Thanks for your compliments on my Easter table.

Printer, thanks! I am honoured to be called a "table artist", what a great term! How neat that you sent someone in Australia that tablecloth, I'll bet they were very happy with it. And even better, that you now got one for yourself at such a good price! I agree that they can be used for all Spring and not just Easter.

To make larger tablecloths fit smaller tables, you can just tie up each of the corners with a pretty ribbon and let it fall nicely. Quite often, I do this even when the tablecloth is the right size, it is nice to add embellishments on the corners like ribbon or silk flowers.

I bow to you, "Queen of TS & Goodwill"! LOL! From your tablescapes, I see you get wonderful things for great prices! We only have one tiny TS here in our small town but I do frequent it often and get a few nice things. I find that kind of shopping so much more rewarding!

Thank you, Kathleen! I appreciate your compliments. I'm not much of a photographer but was quite surprised how clear the pics turned out as my DD's camera is quite old and not a very expensive one.

Luvs, thanks! Just knowing that you have looked at the pics a few times is almost as good as comments...that is the reason I post pics, just to share the fun I had in creating the tablescape. Glad you enjoyed seeing it!
