I love it all, but my fave is the clear etched stem cooler. I love that shape and it is so pretty. Can't believe you got it for 97 cents and those black ones for only 79 cents--no way!

Oh good, a better view of the black/white plates. Those are so pretty. What a great price for them. Your blue placemats would go with my everyday dishes--perfect shade of blue. Everything just looks great--you must have been so excited to find such bargains--glad you had fun too! ;o)

Here's my haul. Stopped in the Goodwill on Sat, and they had so much I wanted it wasn't funny. The bad news is, not half off day. That is next Sat. I was afraid to not get this stuff tho, as it might be gone by then. I posted a couple of pix over on GJ as it's for my yard.
I found this set of 4 "lettuce" bowls.

And on these glasses, got two of each. The short glass is very heavy lead crystal type, and the wineglasses have my last initial (S) engraved on them!!

Found this small gold metal easel, and also the red dinnerware to play with in table photos.

Then this large candleholder, and a tiny trio of roses candleholder, and the flat metal bunny candleholder. The bunny one will take an extremely thin candle, even smaller than the three I'll need for the roses. I'm thinking of painting the bunny holder, and the large one, in a different metal color. I like Rustoleum's hammered metal spray paint a lot and it comes in various colors. The large one maybe silver instead of gold? It will be fun to decorate for Xmas due to its size I think. About 20" high. The two TINY bunnies were too cute for me to resist. They are only about 2" high. One holding a carrot, one a head of lettuce.

Wow! Karen, I wanna go to your TS. Those are wonderful finds! Love the edges on those bowls--gosh, they will look so cute in a table setting. I bought the green salad plates and green pitcher at Pier 1. The green stems came from Sears. None of these greens will be used together though. I also bought the aqua glass chargers like Kathleen's, but our Pier 1 didn't have the aqua salad plates. Sorry Kathleen, but I had to have them! You could send me your aqua salad plates ;~)

The gold rim stems and white flatware came from the same little discount store where I bought the black and white flatware.

Welllllll still no camera, but I did get back!!! While traveling I found a couple of dishes...a Homer Laughlin "Dogwood" dish..two sided with a "stem" shaped handle over the top. DD was delighted! a small glass cruet, a sunflower yellow Fiesta platter to hang in my kitchen, a red and white transferware pitcher, which was pretty neat because I collect both the red and white and pitchers!! DSD had a pitcher for me when I arrived...cream colored with lovely red poppies/green leaves. I FINALLY got to go to a TJMAXX store!!! Lots of really cool things, but I didn't buy anything.....I just thought about you guys and how much I missed you!!
We had a nice trip and saw lots of countryside...beautiful in it's spring colors!! 1/3rd of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and back home!! Whew, I'm tired!!

Jaybird, I'm glad you had such a nice trip and with all that travelling it's understandable that you are tired. We have to pay when we play! LOL

That was very sweet of your DSD to have a pitcher waiting for you. It sounds beautiful. And congrats on your nice finds. I know you were thrilled to find the red and white transferware pitcher especially.

Great finds, Gals! Jaybird, you have GOT to get a camera and quit teasing us with just descriptions. I really want to see your pitchers. For some reason I love them but have been very determined to NOT have another collection.
Sure hard tho. Sandi, both your stemware designs are lovely!! And thanks for compliments on my stuff, kinda figured the little lettuce bowls would be liked a lot. I guess I need to get busy and do a bunny table. And a rooster table, and a dog table tho that doesn't as good for some reason. LOL but I keep thinking of the one Judith showed us picture with all the Staffordshire dogs around the centerpiece, and my Stafforshire greyhounds are calling me. Tomorrow is May, already!!!! So time to start the new monthly table setting and this time I will be part of it. April got away from me, mostly flat of my back it seemed. This forum sure helped keep my spirits up with all the pretty pix and ideas tho.

I'm with Kathleen, I really don't want to start collecting different silverware either--although my everyday ones with wooden handles are starting to look the worse for wear. You will find lots of settings where your new white ones will look wonderful I'm sure.

What a pretty pitcher, anything you serve from it is bound to be yummy. And the green salad plates will coordinate with lots of things too. (Has DH started on those storage shelves yet?) Ha ha

Kathleen, you can Think PINK for May, but won't be on my table setting. LOL. You know I don't have pink in spite of the number you guys are doing on my head now about that color. Oh wait, did you see the little pink accent on the bunny placemats? Does that count?
I wasn't going to buy colored flatwear either, but my silverware is pretty darn old so decided to get the one set from Target a few wks ago. Then in GW, seeing the red and the price tag, well why not? If I see more in other colors there, then don't mind getting some. Just for you guys, of course. LOL Right now all my dish finds are in the garage and DH hasn't a clue about any of it. He's too busy golfing to take on role of Dish Police tho. If he does notice, at least most of it came from GW and Dollar stores! Plus I'm selling some of my dog statues on eBay this week to get myself a lil' extra spending money. Just parting with cheapy ones I don't "love" anymore and had put away in fact. Time for others to enjoy.

Lee, seeing your name reminded me about monablair. It was posted on the convers part of home dec. Mona's dh was bit by a bat while opening their patio umbrella. He may have to get the shots for rabies. I saw a baby one in ours once, I thought it was a big moth..I am now freaked about opening an umbrella!

And, Lee, I love the cake plate too. It was orig 20.00 and blue for my kitchen set. I bought one for my friend who has the same dishes I have. I am going to make something to put on it and give it to her for her bday next week.

Kathleen, I'm sure that will be a special gift to your friend.

kathleen, GREAT finds!! I esp. like the green dishes!! And after reading your post about the bat in the umbrella I will be on the lookout from now on! Never thought of something like that, although I knew of a lady once that took in her clothes from the clothesline after dark and a bat was in the leg of the jeans.

kathleen, I can see pasta salads with bits of red on the black plates, also some black olives sprinkled around. I think black can be a 'pretty color' to work with. :)

Kathleen, why are you worrying about what food to put on your pretty dishes? You can serve anything you want on them. Is it so you can post food pics on another forum? I am rested up...and I am guilty of posting here and there, but this is the first place I look EVERY morning, and lots of times during the day when I get a moment or two....y'all will have to get BUSY posting again....I'm sure you have dishes/decor that we still haven't heard about!!!!

Oh Luvs, I know I can just post pics of dishes here. But I usually do a setting and then use it for dinner, so I like to kill 2 birds with one stone! And I have been getting help on my pics from cooking forum. I do post there too, and always check here first like Jay...It puts the DP in a better mood if he actually gets a nice meal served on all these dishes he is seeing!
