At Studiomoe our goal is to create simple, elegant furniture. Inspired by the clean lines of Scandinavian furniture and handcrafted with exquisite attention to detail, the pieces in our Oslo collection lend warmth and light to any environment Sustainability drives our process. We use wood from three sources: sustainably harvested forests, reclaimed beams from dismantled buildings, and trees that have died naturally in the Portland metropolitan area. American Ash and urban salvaged Western Walnut are our primary species, but custom orders can be placed for other woods such as White Oak, Cherry, or Eastern Walnut. Any piece can be altered in size to meet your individual needs. As each piece is made to order, we ask that you allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.

I'm a native of Portland, Oregon and have been a designer and creator my whole life. From a young age, I would spend hours drawing comic book figures and building cities from Lego. Years later, that creative passion eventually manifested itself into Black Rose WoodCraft. It started with just a skill saw and orbital sander in the basement and things grew from there. When I'm not passionately sanding away, I'm raising a puppy named Louie, compete in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and enjoy seeing the world with my girlfriend. To be able to design and create freely for a living has always been a dream of mine. Creativity comes from a deep place inside you so to be able to produce work that people really love and enjoy is the most fulfilling experience.

Woodworking, Furniture, Cabinetry A native of Madagascar, Mimy is a jazz musician who found his calling as a woodworker when he trained under master craftsmen at Berkeley Mills in Berkeley, California. He now designs and builds furniture in his Portland, Oregon workshop. Mimy’s modern furniture and cabinets are built with a combination of solid wood and high-grade veneered plywood, sourced from local businesses.

The mission of Salvage Works is to bring the beauty of reclaimed wood from the Pacific Northwest into homes and businesses. Our region's native Doug Fir and Pine are the bones of century old barns and homes, and when deconstructed there is an opportunity to preserve and reuse this historic material. Our rough cut lumber showcases the heritage grain, saw marks, oxidized nail holes, and patina from years of weathering that is unique to the reclaimed wood of our area. We know the story of each stick, and are here to share that history with our customers. Everything from dimensional 2x4 boards to hand hewn barn beams can be found in our warehouse, which is open 7 days a week to the public. We feature solid hard wood frames and premium eight way hand tied coil spring foundations. We complement our upholstery pieces with unique accents, including storage side tables, Asian antiques, stylish lamps and custom area rugs. We also offer a broad selection of products that are properly scaled for retirement living. We work with all the major Retirement Community’s in the greater metro area. Carol Director, owner and our interior decorator, is able to provide design assistance and solutions, from a complete room make over to the selection of an individual piece.
