MedleyFurniture & Accessories, Furniture SalesMedley is a premium, eco-friendly furniture brand with a mission to make living more comfortable through products that are better for our planet and our homes. Most mass-produced furniture goes from delivery to landfill in a few years (!)...we've been in the game long enough to know that there's a better way. That's why embrace slow, intentional craft and quality materials to build ultra comfortable, beautiful, and enduring furniture—right here in the USA.
I've been trying to get my furniture order for weeks now. First, their e-comm platform wouldn't work in my browser. Then, they tried to charge an astronomical shipping fee that made so sense, and they couldn't even explain why it deviated so wildly from their own website information, though they attempted to. Fabric samples were late to arrive. Meanwhile, I was getting pressure emails to "hurry up and don't miss the 10% off sale". Then they extended and increased to 15%; meanwhile, they were emailing me directly that I should hurry to get my 10%...like they didn't know I might have seen the separate marketing for 15% and weren't willingly matching their own new promo. Finally place my order after confirming that their estimated delivery dates will work for me, then days later, they email to say that the fabric I chose for my sofa isn't available until Sept...not June as promised on their website. They said the fabric I chose for chairs was on schedule. Ordered new fabric samples, chose new color, then they said that was also delayed until Sept...in fact the whole fabric line was, they just hadn't bothered to say so the first time and let me waste time ordering more samples that would generate the same problem. So then I changed my sofa order to a new fabric type, then asked when my chairs would arrive. Turns out they had stopped my chair order, which was in a fabric they said they DID have, without letting me know and without giving me the option to split my order and get my chairs ahead of the sofa that had the fabric issue. They had no explanation for why my chairs had been pulled out of production and why they didn't disclose it. Finally, they agreed to put the chairs back into their queue ahead of the sofa...which they should have done anyway since that is a shipping option they offer all along and due to a series of their mistakes. I complained again, so they offered a $500 refund for all the trouble, which they then did not actually refund until I complained about that too. Now, I should have had the chairs delivered this week, but Medley did not email about them, no contact. I reached about AGAIN. They are now saying it will be another month. Apparently, the materials they said they did have in stock, are not actually in stock. This is not how supply chain works. Orders that are scheduled weeks and months in advance are typically covered by materials that are locked in so that estimates can be fairly accurate. This is not lockdown year when manufacturing and shipments were knocked offline. No organized, reputable company has this happening now. I asked to escalate above their customer service person, Kevin, and Kevin would not put me in contact with anyone above him. This company is a mess. They seem to have no real idea when they will even have materials to manufacture their own products, yet they keep running "sales" and keep publishing delivery estimates that they are not able to hold to. It's a lot of false marketing.

Years ago, my boyfriend and I mused at the idea of a live edge table, but it just wasn’t in the cards. But after relocating to Oregon a little over a year ago, I stumbled onto Jewell Hardwoods at one of the home design shows. I fell in love with their work but only took home a stump side table. When it was time for our home remodel, I instantly thought of Jewell. And drove my boyfriend out to their shop. We found an amazing maple slab and didn’t turn back. (I also ended up adding a beautiful waterfall walnut bench). Everyone we worked with was great and the work is amazing. We get comments from every guest who comes by and we have no hesitation telling everyone about Jewell Hardwoods.

StudiomoeFurniture & AccessoriesAt Studiomoe our goal is to create simple, elegant furniture. Inspired by the clean lines of Scandinavian furniture and handcrafted with exquisite attention to detail, the pieces in our Oslo collection lend warmth and light to any environment Sustainability drives our process. We use wood from three sources: sustainably harvested forests, reclaimed beams from dismantled buildings, and trees that have died naturally in the Portland metropolitan area. American Ash and urban salvaged Western Walnut are our primary species, but custom orders can be placed for other woods such as White Oak, Cherry, or Eastern Walnut. Any piece can be altered in size to meet your individual needs. As each piece is made to order, we ask that you allow 6-8 weeks for delivery.
We found Andrew Moe featured in Elle Dacor in the loft of Etsy CEO in NY. The simplicity of his designs of Scandinavian origins was our search for many weeks. Working with Andrew was simple and straight forward. The table and bench arrived when promised. It was beautifully made and beautiful in our home. We love it!

Black Rose WoodCraftFurniture & Accessories, Custom FurnitureTypical Job Cost: $800 - $7500
I'm a native of Portland, Oregon and have been a designer and creator my whole life. From a young age, I would spend hours drawing comic book figures and building cities from Lego. Years later, that creative passion eventually manifested itself into Black Rose WoodCraft. It started with just a skill saw and orbital sander in the basement and things grew from there. When I'm not passionately sanding away, I'm raising a puppy named Louie, compete in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, and enjoy seeing the world with my girlfriend. To be able to design and create freely for a living has always been a dream of mine. Creativity comes from a deep place inside you so to be able to produce work that people really love and enjoy is the most fulfilling experience.
Sean is a consummate professional who is as skilled as he is passionate about his craft. I highly recommend him for anyone in the PNW looking for high quality custom made wood furniture or other wood products. The walnut coffee table he crafted for me is gorgeous and acts the centerpiece for my new living room. I highly recommend without reservation or qualification.

Cascade Home DecorFurniture & Accessories, Custom FurnitureTypical Job Cost: $49 - 1,500
Cascade Home Décor has its retail store for over 20 years in the same location in Portland, Oregon. We have something to suit every room, every taste and every budget. From classic to contemporary and everything in between you’ll find furniture you’re looking for at a price that’s just appealing. Don’t worry we never employ pushy sales techniques, and we will always ensure you have a stress-free, calm shopping experience.
We purchased a bedroom set from Cascade Home Decor, minus the bed frame, to match the bed we had purchased from another store. We already knew the set that we were hoping to get, but after visiting four or five other stores they were asking more than we could afford. When we asked the sales associate at Cascade what their price would be it was a little less than everyone else. We told him that it was too high for us so he spoke with his manager and was able to knock off $300 if we paid in cash. That made my wife's day because she was able to get exactly what she wanted for our bedroom at a price that I was willing to pay. When the pieces came in the same salesman helped us load our car and trailer. When we got home and started unpacking everything we found that one of the nightstands had been damaged in transit so we immediately contacted Cascade and they ordered us a new one that day. We brought back the damaged one a few days later and picked up the new one. It was one of the easiest fixes I've ever had when receiving a damaged product.

Chairished FurnishingsFurniture & Accessories, Custom FurnitureTypical Job Cost: $200 - 600
Restoration and restyling of vintage/antique/used furniture
We hired Chairished Furnishings to completely refurbish an old chair we wanted to include in our local auction. Janine was a delight to work with. She listened well and understood our needs. It was clear from the beginning that she has a true passion to give old furniture a new life, .. new appreciation. I believe her to be highly skilled in the refurbishing end as well as the design process. I may purchase one of her beautiful and unique drum tables. The end result of our project was simply "dazzling ", I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. I am contemplating our next project. :) If you are looking for quality furniture or wanting to refurbish that "old chair/table", look no further, you have arrived.

Metalwood is a source for salvaged materials, artisan furniture and furnishings, custom design/build service, and lots of treasures you never knew you loved.
Eric has done many projects in my house over the years. Most recently he installed the most amazing staircase in the front of my house, leading up to a formerly unused attic. He also redid my deck (and added w/some nice metal framing). He's got a great design sense, charges reasonable rates, and most importantly -- he gives you an accurate schedule and sticks to it. I've never worked w/a contractor before who actually stuck to a schedule. Eric is worth every penny!

We recently down-sized our corporate offices and moved into a new space with few improvements. We needed storage, but wanted something mobile, stylish and of high quality. We were very pleased to find this cool, new company, Heartwork, that is filling the gap between Ikea and DWR. The piece we ended up buying was the Cargo Cabinet. We use it in lieu of built in kitchen cabinets; mobile, sturdy, high quality construction, simple yet stylish design and available in very cool colors! All this for under $1000, delivered, plus it is made in U.S.A.! Would highly recommend this company and their products.
