We buy nearly all of our appliances from Abt, and we've never had a problem. We're in the Chicago area, though, so we've only used their local delivery service.

They're generally open to negotiation, so if you find the fridge for less elsewhere, ask them to match the price.

We drive over an hour to shop there. We have purchased a sz floor model and handles for it. They delivered it to my garage. Since I was not ready to install it yet the store extended the service to 3 years. My sz warranty remained the same.
I continue to work with the same salesperson via e-mail and will buy when ready or as an appliance from my list becomes available.

All our appliances and electronics come from ABT but they are local to us. One thing, when we redid our kitchen and spent a small fortune there, they threw in free 4 yr extended warranties on everything as well as a free MW for DS to take to college in lieu of discounting our high end appliances which they weren't allowed to do by the manufacturers.

ABT is wonderful. I also use the same salesperson through email whenever something comes up. They have always matched prices for us.

Another vote for Abt. I have found that their prices, while not the most rock-bottom to be found, are low enough given the level of customer service, reliability and integrity. I too am local, and had them deliver and install everything, and they did a top-notch job.

Abt is not local. I purchased my microwave and the trim kit from Abt. The trim kit came with a dent and they replaced it. The microwave made a strange humming noise and they replaced it. Great customer service.

I've also had good experiences shopping at ABT.

Everyone, thanks so much for your responses! Abt seems to have very reasonable prices, but I was a little skeptical of an on-line purchase, but feel much more at ease now.
