Easter Tablesetting...(late entry)

Sorry this is late.. it's been very hectic here ever since we got back from FL. I had only one week to prepare for Easter Dinner. I thought I'd have a full week to put away our 'stuff' once we got back...Then shop, clean, etc. But >> DD informed us that they were coming Friday afternoon!! Yikes!! We had 14 for Dinner. Also, my Gkids got to stay here after Easter,(4 of em).. and we will be bringing them back Tomorrow evening! I'm bushed. I don't know how my DD does it. LOL... DH and I feel like we're running a 'Cafeteria'!! They are always hungry! No sooner do we clean up...it's time to get ready for the next round of meals!!

Well, anyway, I thought you'd like to see what I managed to put together. I had set up a table for 14 similiar to this, but didn't have time to take pics...so I did it today on a much smaller scale for you all to see. The kids thought I was setting up another Easter Dinner...lol I told them 'No'...GMa is just playing!! They thought that was real funny.

I picked up these cute Easter Plates At Cracker Barrel..$5.99 ea. I layered them with my Blarney Castle and Mikassa Plates.

The Bunny Figurines were from the CTS. I bought them years ago.

I put this Centerpiece together for Easter, with odds and ends that I had. The kids really enjoyed this Theme with all the Bunnies.

{{gwi:1422362}}

I managed to take these pictures on Easter...My DD made the Bunny Cake for my Gdaughter. It was a Gluten Free Brownie Cake..and tasted pretty good too. I made the Gluten Free Cupcake. I didn't get a chance to take pictures though of the Hot Cross Buns I made, or the Easter Bread or the Italian Sausage Pie..They went 'POOF'!! and ate them up, with no chance for pictures!... LOL

Well, I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful day. I've been enjoying taking a few minutes here and there, to enjoy all of your beautiful table settings. I love all the different ideas everyone has to share.

Jane, I love those plates from CB, I forgot to stop there yesterday when we were out "after holiday" shopping! RATS!!!

Your tablecloth is very pretty, actually elegant. See, even kids enjoy a pretty table, I know our grandkids do too! I like that brown bunny by the cake too, he looks like he might be a bit devilish like Kathleen's Spud!!! LOL

We had 3 on Easter & then the other 3 yesterday, but 3 from Easter came over yesterday to play with them, so we had 6 running around & it was cold & raining, so they couldn't go outside either!

    I was exhausted today too!!!

Wow! I love, love, love your bunny plates! And what a cute centerpiece you put together. And the bunny figurines are all so cute too. Your DD did a wonderful job on that bunny cake, bet all the kids loved it. Your cupcake looks really yummy too. I haven't had breakfast yet, so it's okay that there aren't more pictures of food! LOL Thanks for recreating your table for us, it looks so pretty. And I keep meaning to tell you how much I love your panels on your walls too--so elegant looking. Luvs

    Just adorable!

I love it all!!!! The plates, the bunny decs and the food. Congrats on a beautiful Easter table. I know your family enjoyed it all. Ours was at my parents home near Tarpon Springs and, although the food was wonderful and Easter-ish, Mom didn't decorate for the holiday and we left too soon for me to want to decorate here, so I'm enjoying all the beautiful tablescapes and decs you're posting. Glad you had a good Easter.

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments.

yachter..I'm sure you will still find some at CB and if you do...LUCKY!! I wish I had gotten more.
So you can relate to my being bushed..w/the Gkids...lol
It's fun when there here for a visit...but boy do I feel it when they leave...lol
As far as my 'Elegant' tablecloth... When I was in FL, I purchased that Pink Moire fabric for $1.50 a yd... it was a whopping $4.50 purchase!!

susie..Thank you, and Welcome!! I've seen some of your posts and have enjoyed them. I look forward to seeing more of you. Glad you joined us.

luvs...glad you enjoyed all the 'Bunnies'!
I think DD did a great job too on that cake, and the kids couldn't wait to 'get into it'!!
Also, thank you for the compliment on the paneled walls. So nice that you noticed and like it.

    bonnie...thank you too!!

lynn...welcome back...so nice that you got to spend Easter with your parents..
I'm sure there will be many other Easters to come, that you will decorate too....Having it with your Mom & Dad, is special.
Thanks for all the nice compliments. Glad you're back!

Jane, your tablescape is just adorable! So many little Easter touches and your bunny plates are so cute. That brown bunny is my favourite, such a nice shade of brown beside the bright eggs. I also like your hurricane candle holders, they add an elegant touch. Yummy looking cake/cupcake too. Sounds like you had a busy but enjoyable Easter! Thanks for letting us share in it, even if it was after the fact. LOL.

    Jane,

Those bunny dishes are just precious! Wish we had Cracker Barrels out west here...I'd be making a mad dash to get some of those--and I don't see them turning up in thrift stores anytime soon : (

Also love your centerpiece and figurines. Great job on your table, and on handling 14 people for dinner! And the G-kids--the biggest challenge of all...

    Hi Jane!
I just got my computer back up..we had work done in the kitchen so I had to disconnect.
Your table is so pretty. I love the bunny plates and bowls..and the egg cups are so pretty!

That is great you did all those gluten free goodies..your bunny cake is adorable!

I really like your whole tablescape! Really like those plates, the giant cupcake and love your DR chair!

dd - thank you. That brown bunny is my favorite too.
I keep him out yr round, to enjoy. Those hurricane candle holders I got at a local consignment shop a couple of months ago. They were having their yearly clearance sale, and those were $14 for the pr!... They come apart in two pieces and can be used as seperate candle holders or with the hurricane top.

magpie..thanks you for the nice compliments.. I wish I had a CB near me in the NE...however, when we were in FL I made certain that I made a 'Pit Stop' there to check out their holiday stuff. They always have such great things. When I saw those plates...I had to have them, and made sure to make room for them on the way back home. I only wish I got a couple more of those plates.

kathleen..thanks for the compliments. When my Gdaughter comes, I always have to consider what she can have when it comes to sweets and especially making sure everything is gluten free. It's tough to keep it all tasting good as well as looking good. Sounds like you're having some fun with your kitchen...let us know what you're up too!

shee...thanks, glad you like it all. As far as those chairs...I don't know if you recall, I sold my original DR set, and the one I have now was my Mom's. DH and I refinished the entire set. We stained the table top and painted the apron and legs of the table a distressed black. We also painted all the chairs too. I recovered the seats with a Country French Toile fabric, that I ordered online. I love the look of everything and especially love the fact that it was my Mother's!

I'm looking to purchase at least 8 plates and bowls and I'm wondering if you want to sell or if you know where I may purchase them. Thanks Larry

Hi Larry...if you're referring to the 'Bunny' plates, I purchased them at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. They have a Chain across several states.
I'm sorry, but I'm not looking to sell them...actually, I would love to purchase some more. It might be helpful to contact them. I've posted their website for you.
    Good Luck.
