I'm redoing my bathroom downstairs and need help with my tile layout. The bathroom is at a 90 degree angle from our hallway, which has diagonal 12x12 tiles. The bathroom will have different (although pretty similar in color) tiles butted up to the hallway tiles, with a saddle inbetween. I wanted to do the bathroom tiles on a diagonal, but my mom says I shouldn't have two rooms with different tiles meet up with the same tile orientation (she thinks the bathroom tiles should be straight). Thoughts?
