Spring Table To Share

Just a quick table tonight. DD brought these chargers to me for tablescaping this morning so put this together. I removed the saying after the first picture.

Don't know if I should of used white plates instead of the pink and green but am always open for suggestions. I need to iron my tablecloth so will try to do that tomorrow evening after work.

My Easter daisies are still looking great so put them on to show all of you how well they are lasting. The McCoy vase was my DGM and I'm so glad I've keep it all these years as it worked for this setting.

Neat plates and chargers! I really like the aqua ones!!
And your McCoy vase did work great for this table. I always feel like, somehow, grandmothers are looking down and loving that their things are being used and appreciated.
Tho they never could have imagined this Computerland where so many can see and enjoy their treasures!

Your daisies are so colorful. WOW.

As a "dots" fan, how I love the chargers. Your daughter has great taste!
I really like the clear plates to as it lets some of the pattern come through and then the color on top balances it just right.
Your aqua stem glasses are to neat. Are they square stems?
The daisies are beautiful and so vibrant with the lovely vase.
I think it's great that so many here have such special heirloom pieces and actually use them.

Punk...a real 'McCoy' from your DGM!
I can't believe all the goodies you have on hand.
I'm glad you didn't get rid of it too. It's lovely.

Lots of color choices with your new chargers.
I can see lots of fun tables with them...like this one.
I'm amazed on how vibrant your flowers still
are and how long they've lasted.

Those are great chargers! I have never seen any like that! Like Jane said, so many colors you can use with them!

Karen, thanks and I hope DGM is happy that I'm using her vase finally. I laugh everytime I bring out something else that has been stored for years.

MM, I'll tell DD you think she has great taste and that will keep her shopping for me.LOL The stems are round but would be neat if they were square. Thanks and I think your right about the clear plates letting the colors come through.

Jane, Wish I had 4 of each charger but maybe this will make me try some tables set for 2 only. I will have to play more with them another time.

Just wait until it's warm enough for me to go through more and I'm sure we will both be surprised at what's out there just waiting. However, I don't know where I'll put all of it.

Thanks Kathleen, I'm sure you could come up with some pretty neat ideas with these chargers.

Punk, I kept looking at your clear plates (love how they show off those chargers, and the top plate), when suddenly a little bell in my brain rang. Your plate seemed familiar to me. So I went to the garage cabinet where my glass stash is for making garden totems, and sure enough..
there was one of those wavy plates similar to yours. LOL.

I use to buy a lot of glass stuff at GW for making totems, but haven't made any in a long time and forgot what was even stored. I'm going to sort thru it and redonate a lot, think I'm about "totem-ed out" in the backyard.

hugs, Karen who's happy with my one plate discovery

LOL, purplemoon! I salvaged some plates (a couple diff patterns) from my garden shed the other day...that I had bought to try mosaicing some pots...OH MY...they now are in my cupboard! LOL again!

punk...I think those chargers are just downright DARLING! And what fun...and perfect with your Easter flowers! Love your DGM vase, too! I think we are all having just too much fun! TFS! Jeanne S.

Very cheerful table Punk and I think the colorful dishes are perfect. I think white dishes would make it more formal and it's so much more fun as it is. The chargers are wonderful and I could see one used as a candle holder with a matching candle.

The McCoy is a wonderful treasure with many memories I'm sure. Really makes the table special.

Definitely keep the colored plates. They add a punch of color that would be missing with only the white plates.

Love the vibrant color in the daisies.

    Beautiful table,

    Happy trails,

Karen, you r to funny. Hope you find more plates and start doing more vignettes and tables....You have such wonderful things and ideas.

Jeanne, to funny that you too have brought in more dishes from the shed! Please don't tell everyone that you are slowing down on your GJ to do more tables. I'm thrilled to hear this!!!

Luvs, thanks so much and I am so happy I have stored so much and have such giving children. It's amazing what comes out when you start something you've never cared about before.LOL

LG, it is great to bring out something to use on my tables that has been saved for a reason. I think your right, the white dishes would make it more formal. I might try this to see what it would look like just for fun though. Thanks for the comment.

Candy, thanks and I'm so glad to have you here more with us.
