Judith's been missing from here too long and I'm so worried about her. I know she was having computer problems. But sometimes her treatments really make her feel bad, and that is why I am very concerned. I think maybe we need to send to her a bunch of prayers and good thoughts, and get her back here with us as soon as possible. She's such a special lady, and has "mentored" most of us in the art of dish decor.
I think Judith's last posting here was on the "Where's everyone?" post back on the 17th. I was so sad to read that she has to have another surgery in June. I am still keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. It will be nice when her computer is working right again so we can hear from her more often. Thanks for this reminder Karen, you are such a sweetheart. Luvs
I've not stopped praying for Judith and have my church also praying for her. Sometimes they look at me a little funny when they inquire about details and I say I don't know any details, that she is my computer friend. After all, I always request prayer for my "Friend" Judith. I don't think they get it. Even though we don't get to visit back and forth like friends who live close to each other, we all have a special conection and still share each others burdens,so to speak. So, Judith please know that even when we aren't on here talking, we are still lifting you up in prayer. Betty
Wow, how sweet of you all to be thinking of me. I am just checking in real quick on my work break, and yes, I still have major computer issues on my home lap-top. :( I am very frustrated with it. It makes it very hard for me to visit with you all, and I haven't even been able to do much on my Blog either...
I do so appreciate all your prayers for me, I do believe in the power of prayers! I have my last surgery on June 5th....it is minor..but still major surgery in a way, but at least after that I will not be taking treatments any more...unless it comes back UGH.
So hopefully I will have some new tablesettings for you all to look at, I have a particular one planned that I want to do outside now that the weather is nice. It will be either my pink theme or blue and white...or maybe a version of green and white, who knows it will depend upon my whim at the time LOL Thanks again everyone for your kind support and prayers, it truely means the world to me Hugs Judith
PS if anyone has left me messages VIA my home email on my Blog, I can't read them either, my email box was wiped out when the so called experts "fixed" it. So I just want to let those of you know that I am not ignoring you...I just can't "see" my emails right now. Sighhhhhh
So glad you were able to check in, Judith. We worry when we don't hear from you for awhile.
Can't believe those "experts" can't get your computer fixed. They could have built a whole new one by now! ;o(
Glad you are doing okay, and still able to work. Will keep praying that the surgery goes well, and that there will be no more treatments. Know this has been quite an ordeal for you.
So good you are still thinking about tablescapes. Always love to see your creative ideas and beautiful dishes and accessories.
Yes, Judith, you have been, and will continue to be in my prayers. I hope all goes well. It is only minor surgery to the people not having it!! Good thoughts for a speedy recovery too!
So glad to hear from you again. I really miss you when you're not feeling well enough to post and having computer problems too. I'll be praying the surgery will be fast and successful with a record breaking recovery.
You've been gone so long I would love to see a pink table, a blue and white table, and a green and white table!!
ah, Judith, now I can hit the bottle....L'Oreal...and get rid of all the grey I've gotten worrying about you. LOL. I'm so glad you are ok, so mad they can't get the dang computer issues fixed after so long, and so sad you have to endure another surgery. BUT, it sounds like a 'good' surgery if it stops the treatments that made you feel so bad. Prayers will continue, Dear Lady. I've missed you so very much, as has everyone. YOU were the reason I found this Forum, and therefore you brought much joy and many new friends into my life.
Judith, hope you feel as "treasured" as you should with all of these dear people on this forum keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. Everything they have said is so true, you are our inspiration and mentor and we miss you and all of your fabulous postings. Like Karen, it was through you that I found this forum (one of your pics came up when I was searching for something on the internet) and I add my name to the list of those praying for you.
We just got our computer back after almost 3 1/2 weeks. I hate that when it takes so long to get it back. When I first joined judith and kathleen li are the first ones that helped me on getting my stacking plates. And Judith told me where to get the instructions for her stacking plates. I also prayed for her the first surgery and a hearfelt recovery. It's just sad to hear she has another surgery on June 5th. I don't know her as well as you ladies. I would like to continue my prayers for her and her family. I think we all need to keep her in our thoughts and prayers, especially on her surgery day. She certainly is a very special lady.
Judith, so sorry to hear about your surgery. Will keep you in my prayers and also praying for a speedy recovery.
Something to share about the china- a neighbor happened to stop in after I had bought them and I was telling her how I wanted to get another service for four...and she said she wished she had known as she seen a set at a garage sale for $50!!! She just about bought them herself as she knew what they were, but said she had just bought new china and didn't have any place for them. She said the lady was moving into a senior apt. and was having to sell a lot of her things. Oh how I wish I had known!!! I wish I could be that lucky to find them at that price!! Oh well, I am still saving my pennies! lol.
Take care and I know you will be in all our thoughts on the 5th.
Just wanted to pop in again and thank everyone sooooo much for your wonderful thoughts and prayers for me, I am very lucky to have such great cyber friends!!! I am pretty much ready for my surgery tomorrow, not particulary looking forward to it, but "you have to do what you have to do" At least I will get a "4 day weekend" out of it LOL Until then, Hugs to all of you Judith
Judith - Sorry to read of more surgery for you - my wish for you is good health and a speedy recovery and I'm eagerly awaiting seeing more magnificent arrangements produced by you in the future.
Judith, Just a quick note to let you know I've still been lifting you up in prayer every time you come to my mind all day and night.(That is often!) Please keep us posted as soon as you are able. Betty
Well as far as I know the surgery went OK (with a few hiccups). They decided to NOT put me under this time, I was to be awake, and the anetheisolgist (I know I spelled that wrong LOL) said to just to let him know if anything hurt "to speak up") So they wheeled me off to surgery (quite awake) Wellllllll.....as soon as the scapel went into me I yelled Owwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the painkiller they gave me had not taken effect yet! They had my face/part of my upper body under the "tent", I sure would have like to seen the looks on their faces! It sounded like they were a bit SHOCKED!(I sure know I was) So they "turned up" the drugs, but anyway once they proceeded again I did not feel anything. But it was really weird to go in and out and me listening to them talk, they had music going on and such. (I was really hopeing they were concentrating)! There was one point where I told them to take the sheet off my face (of course they said they could not do that but the nurse adjusted it a bit). My arms were clamped down too, so I must have been feeling the "happy stuff" cause in "real life" I would NOT like that at all, amazing on how cooperative a person can be "under drugs" LOL P.S. Operating rooms sure don't look like they do on "TV" I was rather let down LOL
But at any rate, despite the experience of KNOWING how it would feel to be cut by a scapel, all went well. I am just a bit sore, and will I relax over the weekend.
Thank you all so much for thinking of me and sending me prayers...I do think the prayers kicked in AFTER the first scapel cut..LOL, it is lucky for the Drs that I have a sense of humor. :)
So glad to see your post!! Had to laugh at your "I was really hoping they were concentrating!" LOL. I had the same thought one time! Great news that all went well.... wishing you a speedy recovery! (not tooo speedy, you need to pamper yourself!) :)
SO GLAD to hear from you, Judith, but....surgery while awake?? That makes me shudder, then to hear you felt the scapel was even worse. Glad you had all the "happy" drugs in you so you didn't mind being tied down, with a sheet over your face. LOL, I'd have been screaming bloody murder at that point. Anyway, so glad its over and your sense of humor remained intact. And praying no more treatments to make you feel rotten. We NEED you here!!
Oh, what a relief to hear your surgery is over Judith. No way would I want to be awake for surgery! I'm such a chicken! LOL So does this mean the treatments are over? You mentioned having a four day weekend--is that going to be enough for you to have recuperated? Sure want you to be able to just relax and let your body heal, you have been through so much.
We really miss your posts here with us. Will be so glad when you can join in more often. You are so talented and have such good ideas and great accessories to share with us.
And what's the latest on your computer? Did they ever get it working right for you? I know how terrible it can be to be without it.
Thanks for keeping us posted, now just lie down and rest, okay? We'll chat with you later. ((Hugs))
Thanks for posting Judith and letting us know how things went. So wonderful that you can joke about it after all that has happened! Hope you have a bunch of decor magazines to read while you sit around and recuperate. Take it easy, you deserve it!
