DH's youngest DD and her 2 youngest daughters were trapped on El Camino Real ( a major main thoroughfare N of San Diego) for 4 hours last week!! She could see the flames, but there wasn't anywhere for the traffic to go!
The temp indicator on her car went from 110 to 117 while they were sitting there!!

Karen. I'm so glad you checked in We really missed you.
I've pretty much been a couch potato myself this past winter,
so I understand the feeling. But I make myself do something productive everyday now that Spring has finally arrived.

Candy what a terrible experience for the girls!! Thank God they are okay.

OK, Karen. I can imagine finding a cute picture of a couch potato, but how on earth did you get one sitting of a PURPLE couch???!!!

Candy, I was once stuck in traffic on the freeway just outside of Palm Springs. It taught me to NEVER be in the car without a water bottle. Honestly, I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. I couldn't get off.

That must have been a nightmare for your daughter. So glad they're OK after that experience.
