This is a little late; sorry I don't visit this thread very often...I bought a house with a Cielo tub and have been unable to find any information on it whatsoever!

To clean the jets, I dilute bleach in a spray bottle and spray the jets thoroughly. I left the bleach sit for maybe 10 mintues and then rinse with the showerhead. I have done this three times in the eight months I've owned the house and it does the trick...the tub is like new again after the bleach treatment, although my house smells like a swimming pool. The first treatment was a bit of a project since the previous owner was...let's just say that housekeeping was not a strength of hers and the tub was disgusting. But since then it's been a breeze.

I know most people would think I'm crazy but I would be really happy to get rid of this tub. It's awkward to climb in and out of because of the height, we never use the jets, and it's going to be totally impractical for bathing kids when we have a family. Unfortunately it's surrounded by a tile frame and we'd essentiallly have to tear a lot of the bathroom apart to get rid of it, so I'm stuck for awhile.

Just bought a house a year ago and am just trying out this Whirlpool Cielo Jet Tub. Do they have heating units in them?

We just moved into a house with one of these hydromassage tubs and I have the manual. Happy to scan it if you want me to. It doesn't say much, but does talk about flushing the lines at least every 3 months:

Fill the bath with hot water and add 2 t. of non-sudsing dishwasher detergent (i.e. Cascade). Run the system for 10 minutes, then drain the bath. Refill with cold water and run for 10 minutes to rinse the system and drain.

I can twist my jets counterclockwise and then pull them out to clean them. OMG it was black and absolutely filthy inside! Soaked them in bleach water and scrubbed the entire area with a toothbrush.

For Suzanne, sounds like you have the Sensor Pad - it says the water must be at least 3" above the top of the highest jet or it won't come on. Hope that helps.
