OT: Sad day

My dear sweet sister-in-law lost a short battle with Carbon Dioxide poisoning this morning. I don't know how to describe it, but her body didn't expell the CD like it was supposed to.

She was 85 and a joy to be around! She was my DH's last living family member (parents/siblings). This has hit him pretty hard and he is a tough old bird. If you could spare him a kind thought, he would be......mortified that I asked....and then very appreciative.

Since she was the closest thing I ever had to a sister, I will truly miss her as well.

Thanks for letting me blow off steam.

J

I'm so sorry for your loss Jaybird. It is so hard to lose a loved one, but especially if she is your last living sibling. Give your DH lots of extra hugs, and try to concentrate on all the happy memories. You will both be in my prayers. Take care. Luvs

Jay, I am so sorry for both of you. What a huge loss in your lives. What a wonderful tribute that she lived to be 85 and was a joy to be around. I am sure she has left so many beautiful memories to wrap yourselves in.

Give your DH an extra hug from me too. Tell him its ok if tough guys cry!

    Oh Jay,
I'm so sorry. I lost my dearest sister 3 years ago and still can't believe I won't see her here again. We had so much in common. Her children shared so many of her things with me as well as any of her flowers from her garden I wanted. That helped so much because I am always thinking of her when I look at her lamps that I always loved, or when I am in my garden and see the roses she treasured.
Please hug your Husband for me also and know my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Jay - I'm sorry about the loss for each of you...always remember, her spirit will live on in your hearts and in your kind & loving words when you speak of her.

Try to convey to your husband there's nothing wrong about grieving over a loved one and how much the loss hurts - it just means how deep his love(and yours) was for her!
