Breakfast table #4--last one

Then I switched out to try something with my black and white painted chicken. I think I should make some little yellow chicks to go with her. Would love some checked napkins and the checked silverware like Sandi found to go with this one. My lilies are almost finished blooming--was lucky to find a few white flowers to use! Be sure to click on the pics to enlarge them. I had some fun doing these, hope you enjoyed them too. ;o) Luvs

Somebunny's been very, very busy today! Thank goodness.
This chicken is great, I may need to copy that pattern and make one like her.
I wouldn't add yellow chicks myself, but would add some eggs I think. Those speckly ones. Checkered napkins would look real good too, along with Sandi's flatware.

Sure enjoyed seeing your creativity, just wish you wouldn't remind me I'm about as active as one of your glass veggies lately. LOL

By the way, stopped at GW today since it was half off day.
You're in trouble again!!! I not only bought something silver, it has to be POLISHED too. What have you done to me now?? Can't believe I've got to polish silver and iron tablecloths. This is a bad, bad forum. LOL

Ha, Karen your turn to polish the silver!
Luvs, you did a great job on all your tables. Love the little houses, how cute. Did you make them?
This one is cute too, See if Sandy will give you her flatware, LOL
Thanks for doing all those tables. We are in a lull.

That is such a cute chicken, Luvs. Of the ones you showed earlier, the black one with the white dots was my favorite. Now you are showing another b/w one. Do you have any more we haven't seen? I do love black and white. I had dishes like your black ones, and eventually gave them away. Now I want them back! I agree, the flatware like Sandi has would really look nice, but I don't think she will part with hers. lol BTW, I haven't seen Sandi here today. Maybe she is someplace having fun, or shopping for pretties.

Luvs, I love your black and white chicken table also. And some yellow chicks or eggs would look really cute with it. Walmart has the black and white check napkins. I've been coveting them for a couple of weeks now myself. You could have 2 different looks...with the yellow chicks you could use your yellow salad plates and yellow napkins.
Your Callas are gorgeous. They look faux which is a compliment as they look so perfect!

Karen, You are SO right...this is a bad forum! LOL We are all enabling each other (OK Kathleen, I admitted I'm an enabler)

Hi2all, I wish I had been shopping today! LOL I fell into a big hole (future filter for new pond) last week and earlier this week on my way to falling into the present pond I saved myself by knocking a potted plant into it so today I did major cleaning. My water babies loved me today. LOL And Luvs, I promise you if I find 2 more sets of the black and white flatware I'll send you one.

Karen, where were you when I needed advice? LOL I have some speckled eggs I could have used. I kept looking for some other accessory to add to this one, but couldn't THINK of anything!

Can't wait to see your POLISHED silver. I really am a bad influence, aren't I? I just get it from this forum--not really my fault. LOL If you want a pattern of the chicken, just say the word.

Kathleen, the little houses are actually a canister set I ordered from Spiegel catalog years ago. I love them too.

Lee, I imagine Sandi will give me her black and white silverware when Kathleen gives her that pretty rug. Oops! sorry Yachter, forgot you're in the running for that too. LOL

Trying to put a setting together really does help you realize what other things would make it better next time. I thought I had lots of napkins, but now find that I don't have the right colors so I need more!

Lee, don't you hate that when you give something away then wish you had them back. I've done that before too.

Sandi, what are we going to do with you? Falling around and knocking things down! I hate to tell you this, but that sounds like me. You will have to show us some more pond pictures. I'm sorry you didn't get to buy pretties today. I haven't had a chance to go shopping in a while myself. Of course, that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Luvs, I forgot to tell you how pretty your lilies are. Oh, and don't you go trying to give Yachter *my* place in Kathleen's rug line... I put my dibs in long ago on the decorating forum. lol

Yes Luvs, I want the chicken pattern for sure. I have a feeling you might like the silver piece I have to polish!
Its a bud vase with a single long-stemmed rose that has several leaves on it too. Very delicate piece I thought.
Just not looking forward to trying to polish those little leaves and the rose. WHAT was I thinking, other than it was half price and cost me a whole dollar! But looking at the silver rose, I could just hear a little voice saying
    "Luvs says buy it".

OMG, now she is hearing voices. This is getting serious..polishing silver, ironing tablecloths, setting tables that no one eats at and now this.....

Luvs, I didn't see this one before I posted to the other thread. Great minds think alike, as I suggested eggs too before I read this! Are we all getting smart or what????

I like this setting too, what a cute chicken in black & white with the plates to go with it!! Very creative!!

I passed up pink checked flatware yesterday at a garage sale, now I wish I had bought it!! DRAT! If I see anymore colored or checked, I'll pick it up just in case, maybe if I don't see that I can use it, maybe someone here will want it!!!

Kathleen, when you put it like that, LOL, it's obvious I've gone off the deep end for sure. No wonder this gang is called DishNUTS. Your comment totally cracked me up tho, thanks for a needed laugh even if the truth is scary stuff.

Yach, you're gonna catch it for passing up PINK checked flatware. Some ladies here are going to be letting you know that was a mistake. Better start running... Krazy Karen

Yachter, Oh my heart is just breaking. You passed up pink check flatware! If you find any checked flatware I'll stand in line with whoever else on here wants it! LOL That pink checked would go with my pig plates. And please do keep us in mind. Oh be still my heart...pink checked!

Sandi, I am glad you are okay after your pond encounter. Better the pot and cleanup than you falling in there! We were missing you on here while you were so busy. Thanks for the heads up on the checked napkins at Walmart. I'll have to try to get over there this week. I like the idea of the yellow setting too. Thanks, I'll work on that. You always have great ideas. ;o)

Sorry Lee, I got mixed up as to who else was in line for the rug. Gosh, hope I didn't get poor Yachter's hopes up! LOL You are right, should have added a container of eggs on this one. I'll be sure to do that next time.

Karen, you can bet you heard me saying "buy it, buy it" if it was silver AND had a rose on it too. Can't wait for the pic. Send it to me, I'll be glad to polish it up for us---uhhh, I mean you. ;o) Just joking.

Yachter, those yard sales in your area sound so great. At those prices, postage would not be a problem--well worth it. Now don't you feel bad for poor Sandi. She will be sad all day thinking about that pink checked silverware that got away.

Kathleen, you can't be too far behind Karen in this obsession--didn't I hear something about "hiding" new dishware????? Watch out, the voices may come next. LOL

    Luvs

    lol, Luvs! re: the voices.

You mean you don't hear voices? Do they just talk to Karen and me? ;-)

Lee, The voices talk to me also. LOL I thought it was normal!

Luvs, I've been in the pond several times, but so far, always on purpose. LOL And I don't think I will ever get over the pink check flatware. ;~(

Ah Hem, Luvs, putting scady eight dishes away is NOT hiding. I take umbrage with that! LOL

Whew, Sandi. I am glad to hear the voices don't just talk to Karen and me.

We will all watch for pink check flatware, and hopefully it will show up again! Remember how you found the black and white. I don't go to the neat places very often anymore though. Bless his heart, DH is so not interested in shopping or "looking around". Maybe someone else will run across some even better than the ones previously seen.

Sandi, I forgot all about your pink pig dishes. YIKES! All I could think of was Valentines Day to use the pink checked with & then I decided against them!!!

I will keep my eyes open for any patterned flatware, I'm sure if the price is right & they are cute someone will be able to use them! I'm such a dunce, but I stand there trying to think what I can use, what colors etc. & think like Judith told us & whew, this is HARD WORK!!

I'd be glad to pick up flatware for anyone here, plus flatware isn't that heavy to ship, not like silverware.

I guess I need "voices" to talk to me, like they do Karen!!! LOL LOL And, thanks Luvs for making me feel guilty!!!

Kathleen, my humble apologies--just popped out with that to assure you that you have the "obsession" just like the rest of us! LOL Who am I to talk, I keep most of my purchases in the car until DH is gone too. It is just "easier" that way. No questions or eye rolling! LOL

Yachter, I know you are not used to having to think about what one of us might like while you are shopping. But bet you will now--especially if it is lightweight and could be mailed easily. Shall we all make our lists? Just teasing.

    Luvs

Yachter, It IS hard to remember what we need when we're out shopping. And to try to remember what anyone else might need would be really hard. LOL I have a time trying to remember what I need also and then get home and realize I needed what I didn't buy.

Actually it might not be a bad idea for us to do a "Want List" thread if we are willing to pay shipping. Then others who have access to places we don't, and see things like the checked flatware, can shop for each other.
What do you think? I am totally thrilled that Luvs offered to get me the glass fruit from her 99 Cent store since I couldn't find it at mine.
By the way, I love quotes and taglines, and one of my favorites is " Even if the Voices are not real
they have some pretty good ideas". LOL

Luvs, I really like the "countrified" black and white look. I like everyones ideas about the white eggs too. You are right the black and white checkered silverware would be perfect. I'll keep an eye out for you. I don't mind shipping "non breakables" LOL
