Memorial Day/Flag Day Table

I have been working on some projects so no time to post pictures til now.

This tablescape is using the clear blue TS plates and white TS salad plates I have shared pix of before. The star chip & dip was another TS find and the RWB flowers are from Dollar Tree.

All the star shaped bowls and candleholders are also TS as is the red/white checked tablecloth and the RWB napkins.

The red handled silverware is from my very old picnic basket. The blue goblets are DT and the ruby glasses are from my MIL many years ago.

I learned how to fold the napkins from one of postings here a couple of months ago.

The red candles are from Christmas decor. The ribbon is DT and the gold stars scattered around the table are TS from a couple of years ago.

The tiny star candleholders in the center of each setting are also from my MIL.

Candy

Wonderful, Candy! First of all, the napkins remind me of a beautiful "butterfly!" (with the red fork for the body) Do you have the how-to-link for folding that napkin yet?

Your RW&B certainly shines thru for Flag Day! Love the red glasses from your MIL ...plus star-shaped bowls & candleholders! Ck'd t'cloth is perfect for the occassion! TFS! Jeanne S.

Those napkins caught my eye right away! What a neat fold,
and I really like the napkins themselves. That star chip-dip bowl was a really super find! Pretty, pretty ribbon too. A wonderful table.

Your table looks great Candy, and shows that we can do tables without spending a ton of money too! You sure have found some neat things while "treasure shopping". ;o)

My most favorite thing is those petite red glasses from your MIL, they are just so cute.

What a colorful table, the red check tablecloth makes a great base. I too love the napkin folds. And the stars are the cat's meow. Thanks for taking time out to do pics and post for us.

    Candy,
Your TS finds put together a very lovely table. I agree with Luvs...you don't have to spend a fortune to put together something really nice.
I love the clear blue plates and the glasses from your MIL. I too thought of a 'Butterfly' when I saw your napkins..what a nice idea and they look very pretty too.
This was a fun table to see. TFS

I'm dragging behind but you did a WONDERFUL job.
I looove the :butterfly effect: of the napkins , the lovely chip/dip is perfect for your table and the checked tablecloth pulls it all together so neatly.

    Thanks for the compliments.
Jeanne, I don't remember who posted the how to for the napkins.
The napkin needs to be square. Pull the corners to the center, it makes a smaller square. Now do it again, pull the corners to the center making a smaller square.
Turn it over and repeat pulling the corners to the center.
Now reach underneath and gently pull each tip out from the center while holding the center to keep it from coming undone.
It is like when we were kids and made those folded paper question/answer things where you wrote different answers and then when your friends asked questions and you used your thumbs and fingers to open it different ways to reveal the "answer."

If this doesn't make any sense, ask me again and I will try to explain it a different way.

Ahhhhh...light bulb moment! When you said:

"It is like when we were kids and made those folded paper question/answer things where you wrote different answers and then when your friends asked questions and you used your thumbs and fingers to open it different ways to reveal the "answer."

Of course, now I GOT IT! Thanks, candy! Jeanne S.
