Miniature Potting Bench

I found this little Stanley work bench at one of my TS and decided to set it up as a mini potting bench. I found

some little terra cotta pots at other TS's as well as the little wheelbarrow and the little rusty pail and washtub are leftover from the spiral grapevine tree.

The little blue watering can is a citronella candle and the tiny roses were on a TS basket. I removed them from the edge of the basket and used them here.

The piece of burlap in the drawer is from a Christmas Tree that I took out of the burlap and "planted" in small golf driving range basket. The tools are from a plant care kit that I've had for years. There is a birdnest/bird roosting on one of the brackets, but it didn't show up very well.

It is sitting next to an old wood cookstove (decoration only) in my sunroom.

I'd like to put it out on the patio, but it gets too windy here at times to have all the little decorations outside.

Candy

What a Clever Gal you are Candy!
] like how you saw beyond 'workbench' and turned it into
a cute potting display table. Very nice job.

Candy this is so cute! You are a very clever lady to keep coming up with all these wonderful ways of decorating TS finds. Love all the little goodies you placed on the potting bench. Your decorations are perfect.

I wouldn't put it outside since you have room indoors. It would be a shame to have the wind come up and blow things all over. Show us your cookstove it's setting beside when you have time and thanks so much for sharing this with us.

We have an old wood cookstove that I hope to get finished so we can bring it in and enjoy someday. I'd like to have brick layed all the way around and arched over the top of it so it will be a pretty expensive project when completed.

DH says it's his next project. He just finished my old Singer Sewing Cabinet and it's looking pretty nice so who knows, the stove may come in to stay one day.haha

That is adorable. I love how you decorated it, and agree with Jane...you're a Clever Gal.
The old cookstove is a wonderful companion to it and I'm glad its safe from the wind.

What a good way to bring a little of the outdoors inside to enjoy. Great way to display all your cute finds too. I can relate to your comment about the wind. We get strong winds out of the east a couple times a year and one side of my house becomes a real wind tunnel. I'd love to see your stove too--grew up actually using those! Luvs

That is so darling and I think the sun room is the perfect place for it.

    Jane, Karen, and Frou,
Thank you for your kind comments. You are all such a wonderfully supportive group!

Punk and Luvs, I will try to get a picture of the stove posted for you. It belonged to my 1st husbands DGM. She used it to make lye soap, but I only use it as a decoration. I need to clean some "stuff" off of it before it is ready for a photo op, LOL.

candy...this reminds me alot of the cute "fairy gardening" going on over at the Garden Junk forum (actually, more Garden "Art" than junk!) Link below...but be careful, it's very addictive over there, too! LOL! TFS your darling little potting bench...great for your sunroom! Jeanne S.
