We have only 3 outside spotlights. One on an inside corner near the front porch and garage (that one is on a motion detector). The other two are in high peaks in the back. You can only see them if you crane your neck up. The lights and trim are white. I barely notice them. If you live in an area with wildlife I recommend against motion detectors. We have just one, and it gets set off all the time...which means DH has to jump out of bed and investigate whatever "it" is. "It" is usually a neighbor's cat, because we have it set so only something really close to the house (like 8' in front of the garage door) will set it off. When we had it pointed further out it went off all the time.

Post your elevations and I am sure you will get recommendations on where to position the lights so they are less noticable.
