I have a Hoover, don't know the model or name. I danced a jig when it fell off the shelf and cracked the housing. It is so much work to get out, set up, use, clean, let dry, etc. However, maybe people here can suggest smaller, easier-to-use units. I think you are more interested in spot cleaning, so there must be something out there for you.

I just received the Hoover Jr steam cleaner and am giving it its first trial run today -- I compared this model to the small Bissell Green Machine, and more people seemed to like the Hoover. I was told by other to avoid the Bissell Greene Machine HEAT units, and the spot cleaners -- they said the other steam units worked fine. We have a big Bissell, but I needed something smaller to clean up after the kids and the dog.

I have a Hoover Jr too - it's great for what you want - little pet messes. I ordered it at Amazon.com. It's easy to use and small.
