If you're doing a theme type party, use things having to do with that. When my daughter was small, we did a safari party and they all wore "jungle" hats and had a scavenger hunt looking for animals you would find on safari. My DH came up with clever clues so they would have to guess what they were looking for. The kids had a blast.

Don't know where you're located, but outdoor scavenger hunts are good if you can think of things they would find outdoors in your area... a type of flower or flower of a specific color, 3-leaf clover, frog or toad, lightning bug, stick w/ a fork in it, flat rock, etc.

Thank you ALL!! Those lists are great and the theme specific idea is good too. Since it will be an Indiana Jones theme, I may have to save that idea for another party. The outdoor ideas will work too, since they are sort of in the country!
