Is this a 'repeat' too?

If you've already seen this post on my blog, again, I apologize for the repetition but in case you didn't, I thought I'd share it over here.

As a get-well gift after the accident, my DD gave me some lovely summer looking green/yellow plaid napkins with white napkin rings. I chose to use the napkins as placemats and put other white napkins in the holders. I find large napkins are so versatile as they don't have to be used as just napkins.

I had the perfect dishes to go with them too! For a sunny look, I used my favourite yellow "Superstore" dishes mix/matching with the green set. I got these dishes a few years back at the super price of $11 for a 16 pc setting!

I created a centerpiece using a green footed bowl filled with faux hydrangeas and ivy. I flanked this with two brass candleholders with glass peglites (both by Partylite)

Let the sun shine in!

The more I looked around the house, the more items I found in these colours so this tablescape was totally created with things I already owned.

I filled two yellow flower pots with decorative stones and placed white pillar candles inside. These were put on yellow woven placemats with a white doily to bring more white to the table. A little birdie on each end completes the look!

See the tiny little ladybug on the edge of the sunflower tealight holder. You will notice in the very first picture, there is a butterfly on the edge of that one. These holders are from Partylite and are some of my favourites.

Evening draws near...the days are getting shorter and summer will soon be just a memory.

Capture these moments to recall on the darkest winter night...

Thanks for looking! Hope you are all having a great summer even as it winds its way into fall.

DD, what a beautiful table, looks like it should be in a magazine!!

I love the ideas you had & used things you had around the house. The flower pots for candleholders is a great idea.

The table is so warm & inviting!!! I have my roosters out for end of Aug. & Sept, til I do my Halloween table.

Summer was about 2 weeks in Aug. for us in the midwest. Today it is in the high 60's, ewwww, and I am FREEZING!!!!

I truly was born to be a Floridian, I need 90's to be happy!

DD, I love it that you post your pictures both places--I ALWAYS come here, but don't always make it to everyone's blogs. Love this color combination, just so refreshing. Those sunflower candle holders are just darling too. Love the idea of using the painted flower pots to hold candles also. Great job--you are soooo good at this! ;o) Luvs

DD I agree with yachter and luvs..this could be in a magazine...and, you are so good at this!

I think this set of dishes, are one of my favorites. They always look so cheerful and look so different each time you use them in a new tablescape.
I can't believe what a great buy they were.
What a nice way to say goodbye to Summer ... also sad.
But, as you said, a nice memory to keep and remember during the winter!!

Thanks Yachter, you are too kind! It certainly is cheaper to be able to "shop the house" when doing a tablescape.Roosters do seem to go with a fall theme for some reason and I'll bet yours look great. Can't believe it is almost time for the fall decor. Unlike you, we have had high temps all summer here and there are so many forest fires burning, we can't enjoy the nice weather as there is so much smoke in the air. Would love some rain...too bad we can't switch with you about now!

Luvs, thank you for your comments. I never know if I should post both places but guess it doesn't hurt. I bought those yellow flower pots like that but I know if YOU got hold of them and added some of your special painting skill, they would add a lot more to the tablescape!

Jane, thanks so much! In the spring/summer, the yellow and green dishes are my "go-to" set. I seem to have a lot of accessories that go with them too, probably because I love those colours especially together. Though it is sad to say good-bye to summer I am looking forward to fall as I love the "drawing in" and coziness of that season not to mention getting out my pumpkin bowls/accessories!

That is such a lovely table setting. I love the napkins used diagonally as placemats, great tip. And I learned a new word peglite, I've never heard that before. - Gail

Thanks Gail! I learned that word "peglite" from the Partylite consultant (my aunt) and it refers to votive holders that have a little "peg" on the bottom to fit into holders that are usually for tapers (dinner candles). They are very handy and makes other holders more versatile.

    DD,
Can you share where you picked up the butterfly and ladybug accents? Very nice touch.

OA, they are actually attached to the sunflower tealight holders and they were from Partylite. I am not sure if you can get them anymore but I've attached a link to their website. You don't have to have home parties, you can order right online which is nice.
