The only thing not recommended to use in the Hoover Floormates are pine cleaners like Pine-Sol or any with pine ingredients.
I use dollar store liquid all purpose cleaners using the Floormate bottle for measuring and filling the rest of the container with hot water. No need to buy Hoover specific brand cleaners for ceramic tile. HOWEVER be careful about what you use on wood or laminate and make sure whatever brand it says it's safe for wood and laminate

The 'floor to floor' cleaner means it is safe for those floors. It is gentle and won't harm tile.

The 'grout cleaner' is harsher and will damage wood or plastic floors.

I use vinegar and water in the machine to do my kitchen floors. It cleans and does not suds up the machine.

Can I use Mr.Clean in my floormate.
